Ellinor gave Belinda a helpless pat on the back, "Chill, girl, It's all good now."
Byran walked over with a sour look on his face and asked coldly, "Ellinor... how are you feeling?"
Wrapped in Belinda's arms, Ellinor let her weep. She then turned to Byran with a smile, saying, "I'm not hurt; that must be a bummer for you, huh?"
Byran frowned, "Why would I be bummed?"
Ellinor replied casually, "Well, if I were dead, you wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of getting rid of your sister's love rival."
Annoyed, Byran retorted, "I didn't wish for you to die! I just..."
Just then, Yvette, the white horse lingering at the edge of the cliff, let out an excited neigh and started running towards Ellinor.
Everyone was on high alert!
After all, this wild horse had thrown Ellinor off the cliff earlier that day, and it seemed ready to attack her again.
Theo quickly moved in front of Ellinor, shielding both her and Belinda.
Jonah, Kemp, and Bartlett also stepped forward, ready to lend a hand in stopping the crazed horse.
Finding a human barrier in its path, Yvette had to stop and started pacing nervously, letting out anxious neighs.
Seeing this, Ellinor gently pushed the still weeping Belinda away and squeezed through the people blocking her way to approach Yvette.
Theo grabbed her wrist, sternly saying, "Don't go there!"
Belinda's eyes widened in confusion, "What are you talking about? It was used? Ellinor, are you saying someone used this horse to hurt you?"
By then, it had gotten dark.
Ellinor didn't elaborate to Belinda; instead, she scanned the people around her.
Finally, her gaze landed on Jonah, "Lend me your flashlight!"
Jonah looked around, realizing Ellinor was talking to him. He walked over, twirling the flashlight in his hand, teasing, "Beg me, and I'll lend it to you."
Ellinor smirked, "As if I'd beg you!"
With that, she swiftly grabbed the flashlight from Jonah's hand.
