The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 320

“Alright, then…”

“I’m still busy here. We can talk more about it when I get home tonight.”

“Okay. I’ll let you get back to work.”

After hanging up, Vivica turned to Quintina. “Joseph said he’ll take care of it and that I shouldn’t worry. Let’s go get something to eat.”

“Okay. With Mr. Baird’s resources, I’m sure this is nothing to worry about,” Quintina agreed, her faith in Joseph unwavering.

...

After lunch, Vivica dragged Quintina to a men’s luxury boutique.

“Tsk, tsk. Some people talk a big game, but their hearts are as soft as butter,” Quintina teased, linking her arm through Vivica’s and wiggling her eyebrows. “Weren’t you just saying you weren’t in love? And now you’re buying him clothes.”

Vivica blushed but tried to maintain her tough exterior. “Oh, you’re reading too much into it. I lost some of his clothes during the move, and now that I have some money, I figured I’d buy him a new outfit to replace them.”

“Why don’t you just admit that you like him and want to buy him a gift? What’s the big deal?” Quintina nudged her friend while browsing the expensive menswear.

As Vivica sorted through the clothes, an image of his face appeared in her mind, and a smile instinctively formed on her lips. She was beginning to realize that when you truly liked someone, just the thought of them could bring you genuine happiness.

“Alright, fine. He’s given me so many gifts, so I really did want to get him something. And also—” She turned to Quintina, her blush deepening. “He’s been pushing to get married. He said we should find a time to do it next week, but I think it’s too soon, so I’ve been stalling.”
