Joseph simply smiled and straightened up. He neither confirmed nor denied it. "Whether Chaim is my biological son or not, he has nothing to do with you. So stay away from Vivica from now on. Between you and me, even an idiot knows who she'd choose. Why humiliate yourself further?"

With that parting shot, Joseph turned and opened his car door.

But Fletcher was far from calm. He rushed forward and slapped the car window, his face a mask of disbelief. "How could it be such a coincidence? Why would someone of your status donate sperm? And how did we happen to use it? What makes you so sure Chaim is your son? Did you secretly run a paternity test?"

Joseph lowered the window and began to play word games. "Mr. Sanford, that's all your own speculation. I haven't said a thing."

Getting useful information out of a lawyer was impossible unless he wanted you to have it. Joseph's goal was to plant the seed of truth without giving him any proof, leaving him tormented by uncertainty.

"Joseph, wait! Make it clear. Is Chaim your son or not? The son I've raised for three years is actually yours?"

Joseph smiled as he raised the window and drove away.

"Joseph… Stop, make yourself clear!" Fletcher ran a few steps after the car, then stopped, swinging his fists at the empty air in frustration. "You bastard! You've gone too far!"
