“It’s not out of the question.”
Vivica was speechless. Looking at his expression, she realized he wasn’t joking.
Joseph stopped in front of her and held out a file folder.
“What’s this…?” Vivica began to ask, but her eyes widened in shock as she recognized it.
It was the property deed.
Just moments ago, she had been thinking that this mansion wasn't truly hers, that she was merely a guest. And now, Joseph was handing her the deed himself.
Vivica was too stunned to speak. The villa’s prime location, its sheer size, the luxurious and expensive renovations, not to mention the fully integrated smart home system—it had to be worth at least fifty million. Were the Bairds really just giving it to her?
“Take it. Or do you really not like the place?” Joseph prompted, seeing her dazed expression, and nudged the folder closer.
Vivica snapped back to her senses, her beautiful eyes wide. “This… this house is too expensive. I can’t accept it. I don’t mind staying here for a while, but…”
“It’s from my parents. A welcoming gift. If you don’t want it, you can tell them yourself,” Joseph insisted, pressing it into her hands.
Vivica frowned but had no choice but to take it. She opened the folder and saw it was true: the owner’s name was listed as “Vivica Lynn.”
“The HOA fees are paid annually. Someone will take care of it, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Just live here,” Joseph added.
