The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 594

Chapter 594 Misplaced Confidence

“Go find some people and teach that Ginna a lesson.”

“Boss, her name is Gianna,” the person on the other end stubbornly corrected.

“I don’t care if she’s called a cockroach or a fly. Just get it done.”

“Got it.”

Jeremy hung up, his expression still dark.

He had promised Amelia he would not touch that woman and would let her handle her own

revenge.

But seeing Amelia get sick because of it made him want to step in just a little and vent his anger.

Gianna had already suffered enough humiliation at the hot spring resort earlier that day, and she had managed to vent some of her anger on Amelia.

But resentment that had been piling up for so long was not something that could disappear so easily.

Thinking about how her three brothers would never dote on her the way they used to, how she could no longer control them so effortlessly, made her feel absolutely miserable.

So Gianna went to a club, drank heavily, and only left when she was already tipsy.

But just as she stepped out of the club, before her ride even arrived, she was suddenly yanked into a dark, empty alley.

“What are you doing? What do you

want?”

Gianna panicked and tried to scream for help.

Unfortunately, before she could make a sound, someone stuffed a towel straight into her

mouth.

“Mmm! Mmph!”

Terror flooded her mind. Her heavily made-up eyes widened in shock.

Who were these men?

She was sure she had never offended them before,

Could they be trying to assault her?

Were they insane?

She knew she was pretty, but this was a modern society under the rule of law. Did people really still do this kind of thing?

If they wanted women, they could just go to a red-light district.

“No one would want to assault someone as ugly as you.”

The man spoke with clear disgust, as if he had read her thoughts.

How dare he call her ugly?

Before Gianna could curse back, a black bag was suddenly pulled over her head.

The next moment, the alley filled with the sounds of fists landing and her muffled screams.

They had no interest in assaulting anyone, and they did not normally hit women. But they did not see this ugly woman as a woman at all.

“Oh my God, what happened to you?”

When Gianna returned home with a face swollen beyond recognition, Regina almost could not believe it was her own daughter.

“I don’t know what happened. I had just stepped out of the club when someone covered my head and beat me,” Gianna sobbed.

She wanted to cry, but the tears stung the wounds on her face, burning painfully.

She had no choice but to hold them back, feeling so wronged it hurt.

“Who knows what kind of low-life jealousy you stirred up while you were out playing. Our status makes us an easy target for envy,” Regina, said.

She pulled out the first-aid kit and disinfected the wounds while applying ointment, then continuing her lecture in a stern tone.

“Go out less. Stop hanging around poor people. The poorer someone is, the easier it is for them to resent the rich. It’s a good thing there aren’t any scars, or how would you ever get married? Stay home more lately. The Jordans hate scandals the most.”

If some nosy paparazzi caught photos of her daughter partying late at night and getting beaten like this, it would definitely be the top headline the next day.

Regina knew her daughter well. Back then, Gianna had been extremely famous, with countless admirers and fans.
