Chapter 566 Fooled Twice
After a moment, Harrison finally smiled and pulled out his phone. “You’re right.”
Then he brought up his QR code again for her to scan.
This time, Josie finally got her wish and added this man as a contact.
Amelia didn’t move from her spot since she had already added him before he even joined the
company.
She had originally planned to just forward his contact to Josie, but since he had taken the initiative to let her add him herself, she didn’t bother mentioning it.
“Well, you two chat. I’m going to go familiarize myself with the company’s operations.”
After adding her, Harrison stood up.
“Sure, I’ll have Tracy show you around and help you get familiar with the environment and processes. Your private office has already been set up and is ready to go.”
Amelia quickly had Tracy take him out for a tour.
The moment he left, Josie immediately said excitedly, “Ha! He said he didn’t really use his phone. He said we could just talk in the work group chat. And now look-he couldn’t wait to add me.
“Let me check out what he’s been posting lately.”
She gleefully opened the man’s social media and started scrolling through.
She scrolled for quite a while but couldn’t find anything useful.
It was all work-related promotions and shared content.
Work, work, and more work.
Was this guy a workaholic or something?
“Wait a minute. Did that jerk give me his work number?”
“What’s going on with you? It sounds like you two have met before.” Amelia raised an eyebrow.
From the way her bestie was talking, she seemed pretty interested in Harrison.
“We haven’t met. If we had, I wouldn’t be struggling just to get his number.”

attitude of his. Hmph.”
Then, as if remembering something, she asked Amelia, “By the way, you already have Harrison’s number, right? Let me see.”
“Sure.”
Josie took Amelia’s phone and opened his chat. She immediately confirmed that the jerk had definitely given her his work number.
The profile pictures alone were enough to tell that the account he added Amelia with was different from the one he gave her.
The one she had added had a profile picture that was as formal and professional as it could possibly get a standard corporate headshot.
But the one Amelia had showed a casual, personal photo.
That annoying man was the worst-so stingy and petty.
He had managed to fool her twice just over exchanging contacts.
“What’s the story here? Is there something going on between you two?” Amelia asked nosily.
“Nothing’s going on. But that jerk has successfully sparked my competitive side.”
“Ooh, so you’re interested?”
“He’s alright. Definitely my type.”
“Didn’t someone once say she wanted to be a free bird with no attachments, never tied down to any one tree, and definitely not putting all her eggs in one basket?”
Amelia looked at her with amusement.
She suddenly thought that if those two actually ended up together, that wouldn’t be bad at all.
A power couple working for her-double the productivity without the burnout.
“Yeah, I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket, but a girl still needs some attention from a man now and then.
“Going too long without any romance can really age you, you know.”
Josie’s lips curved into a playful smile. She cupped Amelia’s beautiful face in her hands and

teased, “Just look at you. Ever since Mr. Curran started showering you with attention, your skin has been getting dewier and smoother by the day. You’re practically glowing.”
