The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 554

Chapter 554 Infuriating

The implication couldn’t have been clearer-Nygard Group had nothing to do with her anymore, and she should go back to wherever she came from.

This was an obvious attempt to strip Amelia of her existing authority within the company.

It was a blatant move to swallow the entire Nygard Group whole.

Amelia said nothing, merely watching the mother and daughter show off their dominance.

Surely they didn’t think she was completely powerless against them now?

Amelia’s fingers unconsciously tapped against the cold edge of the conference table, producing a dull, rhythmic sound.

Her calm gaze swept over Regina’s smug face, then slid past Gianna’s self-satisfied expression.

Finally, her eyes settled on Elian, who sat not far away, maintaining an almost detached calm.

Just as she was about to speak, the conference room door was suddenly thrown open.

The loud bang caused by the door slamming open and rebounding startled everyone.

Everyone turned toward the sound.

“Who do you think you are, making a scene in the Nygards and daring to order my daughter out of Nygard Group?”

The one who spoke was Emery.

Emery was dressed in a custom-tailored business suit today.

The refined cut and high-quality fabric highlighted her elegance and healthy complexion perfectly.

Marcelo, Miguel, and Maxwell stood beside her.

The mother and her three sons appeared together, clearly well prepared.

Seeing Emery’s current condition, Regina frowned slightly, a sense of wariness rising within her.

This woman-she had recovered this quickly?

Though a bad premonition stirred inside her, Regina kept her composure and replied politely.

1/3

Nygard Group is a massive corporation-its employees still need to earn a living.”

The message was clear-don’t interfere here and disrupt everyone else’s livelihood.

“Since when did a mistress get to speak here? How could a mistress possibly manage a company?”

Emery shot back without hesitation.

Although she knew her husband had never truly been involved with this woman, and everything had happened for other reasons, she still trusted her husband completely.

But outsiders didn’t see it that

way.

Since the humiliation she had endured-and the mockery from those around her-were already facts, she didn’t mind turning it around and striking back with it.

“Who do you think you are, talking to my mom like that? Do you even know who she is now? What right do you-”

Before Gianna could finish, Emery rushed forward and slapped her twice.

She put all her strength into those two slaps.

Although her illness hadn’t fully healed and her strength was limited, she still had more than enough force to swell Gianna’s face.

“Y-you dared to hit me?” Gianna covered her burning cheek in disbelief.

“What, was I too good to you before? So, now you can’t handle just two slaps?”

Emery narrowed her eyes dangerously.

Thinking of how foolish she’d been-showering an adopted daughter with endless kindness- felt absurd and laughable.

She even felt she’d hit her too lightly.

If killing weren’t illegal, she would have dismembered this wretch long ago.

“Mrs. Nygard, this is a workplace. Please mind your identity and conduct.

“If you continue causing trouble in public, I won’t hesitate to have security escort you out.”

This woman dared to hit her daughter right in front of her-it was outrageous!
