The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 548

Chapter 548 Message

Having someone by her side was, in itself, a kind of warmth.

And so, she agreed to let the man move into her place.

But who would’ve known-

The moment they returned home together and stepped into the entryway, a certain man could no longer contain his emotions.

He instinctively opened his arms and pulled her tightly into his embrace.

His tall, straight frame leaned forward slightly, and without hesitation, he pressed his lips to hers.

The kiss was heavy with emotion, making the world seem to fall silent, leaving only the echo of their heartbeats answering one another.

Soft, warm breaths mingled, filling the room with a lingering intimacy.

They kissed their way from the entryway all the way to the sofa.

“Can’t you pause for just a moment?” Amelia pushed hit away, her cheeks flushed.

This wasn’t the first time.

Ever since that annoying man moved in, it happened every day-sometimes more than once.

The man looked deeply wronged. “I only kissed you. I can’t even go any further-how is that too much?”

“My lips are practically swollen. That’s still not enough? She pushed him again.

“Not enough. It’ll never be enough.” He leaned in again.

He had always believed his self-control and restraint we ironclad.

But in front of Amelia, all of that meant nothing.

He wanted to hold her like this for a lifetime-and never let go.

After who knew how long, he finally seemed satisfied and let her go.

Then, in high spirits, he headed to the kitchen to cook.

Amelia, who had never cooked and never needed to ste into a kitchen, watched the man bustling around the open kitchen.

She couldn’t help lifting her phone and snapping a photo.

In the photo, he had changed into a simple white home outfit, sleeves casually rolled to his forearms, revealing lean, well-defined wrists.

Sunlight streamed through the kitchen window, casting soft glow over him.

Amelia looked at the photo, the corner of her lips lifting unconsciously. Any lingering annoyance from being “bullied” had long vanished, replaced by an indescribable warmth.

It had become a habit-more than that, a way they existed together.

Whenever they were home alone, cooking naturally fell to him.

There was no need to discuss it; they simply understood

This simple, cozy rhythm wasn’t bad at all.

Sitting at the table, Jeremy peeled shrimp for her as he asked, “How are things with the Nygards?”

“It’s fine for now. Gianna and Regina will definitely keep causing trouble-they’re planning something.”

She knew Regina wouldn’t let this go.

That woman believed she’d spent years of her youth and life beside Raymond.

Now that he was dead, her goal was still unmet-her mision unfinished.

How could she possibly accept that?

She and Esmond had planned everything long ago, ever funneling many of Raymond’s assets into their own hands.

On paper, every procedure was legitimate and aboveboard.

But Amelia knew her father would never truly hand everything over to that woman.

Even with feelings, he wouldn’t have done it-let alone or an enemy.

Unfortunately, Regina’s forged handwriting was flawles-indistinguishable from his own.
