“Sabrina, what are we supposed to do?” Brielle snapped, her face tight with anger. “Floyd is our family. So why do they look more like a real family than we do? It’s infuriating!”
She really couldn’t stand it. Her precious cousin was sticking close to an outsider.
Just thinking about it made her jealous.
Before this, Floyd had only been close to Cora and Nydia. Aside from them, she had always been the one closest to him.
“Kids get excited easily,” Sabrina finally said. “Once the novelty wears off, they won’t stay in touch.”
Her voice was light and flat. You couldn’t hear any emotion in it at all.
On the surface, she looked calm. But inside, she was already on edge, alert, and uneasy.
Had Amelia started to suspect something?
Otherwise, why would she try so hard to get close to the Jordans? Why would she keep approaching her little brother?
If it were just Amelia, that would still be manageable.
But if Jeremy got involved, things would get much more complicated.
Sabrina could only hope that Jeremy didn’t like Amelia enough to step into every part of this mess.
It seemed like she would have to talk to that person soon. They needed a better plan.
At a villa outside the city.
“Raymond, why haven’t you come to see me lately?” Regina said into the phone, her voice soft and sweet. “I miss you so much. I want you to spend time with me.”
Even at her age, Regina still carried herself with charm.
That gentle, coaxing tone was something very few older men could resist.
“Baby, I’ve been on a business trip,” Raymond replied from the other end. His voice was warm and indulgent. “I won’t be back so soon. Don’t worry. The moment I return, I’ll come see you.”
“You promise?” Regina smiled. “So tell me, do you love me more or Emery more?”
“Why ask that?” Raymond chuckled. “Of course it’s you. All of it is you.”
Regina was pleased. She leaned back and said lightly, “I just like asking. It makes me feel secure.
“My heart and my loyalty are both yours. What is there to worry about?”
They exchanged a few more sweet, lovey-dovey words before ending the call.

The moment the line went dead, Regina stopped the recording.
She gave a cold little laugh. Every word of that conversation had been recorded perfectly.
“Hmph. Men really can’t be trusted. If I want results, I’ll have to make my move myself.”

Regina let out a cold snort as she stared at her phone screen.
This wasn’t the first time she had made recordings. She also had plenty of intimate photos of the two of them.
Even though she had never actually crossed that final line with the man, she knew how to charm him. Between her tricks and those close-looking photos, she had more than enough leverage.
By now, she was done waiting. She didn’t want to wait anymore.
If she foolishly believed a man would keep his promises and just waited around, she might be old and gray before anything happened.
Regina’s gaze hardened. She began pacing back and forth in the room, carefully planning her next move.
That bastard always talked about loving her and caring for her.
Yet in public and at home, he still played the role of a loyal husband to his wife, acting pure and devoted.
Hmph! What a hypocrite!
Regina sneered to herself. She tossed her phone onto the bed and walked into the walk-in closet to choose an evening dress.
“Mom, what are you doing?”
Gianna happened to walk in and looked surprised. “Do you have a party to go to?”
“Yes,” Regina replied calmly. “It’s been a long time since I went to a private party or a formal event. It’s time to show my face again.”
Back when she was overseas, she moved easily through all kinds of parties and high-end gatherings.
After returning to the country and staying by Raymond’s side, she had become an invisible woman who quietly supported him from behind.
How could she possibly accept such a fate?
Of course, that was only the image she showed Raymond.
Behind the scenes, she had already done quite a lot to interfere with the Nygard Group.
