She could not sit still and wait anymore.

If she did, every person she planted there would be removed by that cursed Amelia, one by one.

It was the weekend.

Amelia had planned to visit the Curran Estate today. Whitney had invited her several times over the past few days, full of enthusiasm.

She complained about aches everywhere and said she felt unwell. She wanted Amelia to come over and design a treatment for her.

Amelia did not know whether to laugh or cry.

She knew exactly what Whitney was really after. How could she not?

“I’m here to pick you up and go to the Jordan Estate together,” he said casually.

“How did you know I was going to the Jordans?” she asked.

He knew her destination. He even got the timing right.

“You just helped Mrs. Jordan recover. Of course, they would invite you over to thank you,” Jeremy said.

He was in a great mood. Lately, he felt that his relationship with Amelia had moved forward a little.

Jeremy saw through her reaction and felt secretly pleased. His face, however, stayed calm and relaxed. He purposely leaned a little closer, his warm breath brushing against her cheek.

“I’m not the only one who thinks so,” he said softly. “Everyone says we’re a perfect match. Like we were meant for each other.

“All those jealous women out there? They’re jealous because they already see you as my girlfriend.”

Lately, this man had become more shameless by the day.

So thick-skinned, in fact, that he had fully mastered one simple truth: if you want to get the girl, you sometimes have to be shameless.
