The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 442

Chapter 442 A Faint Trace of Mischief

Cora held back her emotions, her face showing more disappointment than anger. She snorted and walked inside first.

“What’s the deal? Sabrina is so amazing. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t be like her, Brielle muttered quietly to herself.

“You’re really great too, Brielle. You don’t need to change-just be yourself,” Sabrina finally said, giving her a timely compliment.

“Haha! Sabrina, you really get me. You care about me the most!”

Brielle smiled so brightly, and her words were sweet.

It was a huge contrast from her usual sharp and bossy self.

Holding Sabrina’s hand, Brielle laughed and chatted all the way inside.

“Amelia, that Brielle is so annoying. I shouldn’t have held myself back just now-I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind!”

Once they were inside the private room, Patience was still fuming, her teeth itching from the anger.

She had almost spoken up to confront Brielle, but Amelia had quietly stopped her.

“Don’t bother with her. She’s just a pawn, being used by someone. People like that can be dangerous, so it’s better not to mess with them,” Amelia said.

Some people, once they start acting crazy, won’t let go. They cling and make a mess.

Amelia didn’t want Patience caught up in that kind of trouble, especially since she had finally gotten free from Maxwell’s constant pursuit.

It would be a real pain if Brielle dragged them back into drama.

“Can you handle it alone? I just don’t want you getting caught up with those people,” Patience said.

“I can. Soon enough, she’ll regret it,” Amelia said calmly.

Right now, Amelia wasn’t making a move and didn’t want to deal with them yet. Mostly, she was still trying to figure out what the Jordans were really up to.

This could only be done quietly, observing and getting to know people to tell who’s genuine and who’s fake.

Compared to Brielle’s loud fussing and bossy attitude, Amelia paid more attention to Sabrina, who stayed quiet.

As the saying goes, barking dogs might not bite, but the quiet ones can be dangerous.

Amelia felt Sabrina was that kind of person-always silent on the outside, but who knows what schemes she might be plotting inside.

Though she wasn’t as naive or arrogant as someone like Gianna, there was still a faint trace of mischief on

her.

Amelia and Patience chatted while eating snacks, and Amelia kept sending messages to Jeremy from time to time.

Somehow, they had started keeping in touch almost every day.

They didn’t always meet or call, but they never stopped texting.

Even when they were really busy, they would find time to talk.

It felt like they could talk forever.

It really proved that saying: if someone truly wants to see you, they’ll make time no matter what.

“I happen to be nearby. Want me to come over so we can have lunch together?”

On the other end. Jeremy had learned that Amelia was close by. It would be the perfect chance to see her and hang out for a bit.

But Amelia rejected him without hesitation.

“No thanks. I’m with my best friend. so it’s not really convenient.”

“I’m a guy. It’s not awkward for me. Why would it be awkward for you?” Jeremy asked.

As expected, when chasing a girl, you shouldn’t be too shy or subtle. Otherwise, she might run off with someone else.

Amelia replied, “What are you thinking? I’m just worried my best friend might feel awkward.”

Jeremy wrote, “Why would she? I’ve met Patience before-back when we were filming together, we even ate together all the time.”

Ha! He always got Sabrina’s name wrong but remembered her own best friend’s name perfectly.

Amelia couldn’t help but laugh at the message.

She even started wondering if this guy was doing it on purpose, pretending he didn’t remember Sabrina’s

name.

Seeing him so persistent, and wanting to see him herself, she turned to Patience, who was happily eating beside her, and asked, “Jeremy said he hasn’t eaten yet and is nearby. He wants to come have lunch with us. What do you think?”

She wanted to make sure Patience wouldn’t feel awkward or shy.

“Of course it’s fine! He has to come over-he can even pay for us!” Patience said immediately, with zero
