The owner even picked a great table for them. It was quiet and classy and had an amazing view of the ocean.
“Not bad. I didn’t know you had friends like this here,” Amelia said with a smile.
She felt surprised again.
She always thought Elian was someone who only cared about work. She never expected him to have this side, too.
Elian said helplessly, “Ugh, Amelia, do you have the wrong idea about me? I’m just a normal guy. I eat regular food like everyone else.”
It seemed that, in her eyes, he was a stiff and boring man.
He guessed that in the future, besides work, he should let her see a different side of him.
The two of them joked with each other from time to time, so Amelia didn’t feel anything was strange.
After they ordered, the food came out very fast.
The dishes looked nice and tasty. As soon as they were set on the table, a warm and delicious smell filled the air.
Amelia loved food. Seeing so many dishes in front of her made her feel even hungrier.
She said cheerfully, “Then I’m going to start eating. Today is my treat. Don’t be shy. If it’s not enough, we can order more.”
They were old friends, so there was no need for polite talk or pretending.
“Okay,” Elian said with a smile. He was clearly in a good mood.
Even though he agreed, he still planned to pay the bill later quietly
He felt that, as a man, it wouldn’t be right to let a woman pay since they rarely went out to eat together.
When a plate of shrimp was brought to the table, Elian quickly reached out to peel the shrimp for her.
It was one of her favorite dishes.
Elian said gently, “Amelia, I’ll peel the shrimp for you.”
As he spoke, he even put on gloves so she wouldn’t worry about his hands getting dirty.
“Oh, no need, really. I can do it myself,” Amelia said right away.
She refused without a second thought.
Elian replied, “It’s okay. One person doing it is easier. I’ll eat some, too.”
“Really, no,” Amelia said with a polite smile. “I’m not in the mood for shrimp today. You can eat them

yourself. Thanks”

She said this so he wouldn’t actually peel the shrimp for her. If he did and she didn’t eat them, it would feel awkward.
So Amelia simply said she didn’t want shrimp. That made things easier.
Seeing how firm she was, Elian felt a little disappointed and a little surprised.
He clearly remembered that at a dinner party before, Jeremy had quietly peeled shrimp for her, and she ate them as if it were only natural.
So why, when it was his turn, did she suddenly say she didn’t want any?
Still, he quickly hid his feelings and smiled. “Alright. Just tell me when you feel like it.”
He felt a little disappointed,
but he didn’t want Amelia to notice anything was wrong.
They kept eating. Elian was just about to quietly pass her a dish when a voice suddenly spoke up.
“Well, what a surprise. You two are eating here.”
The voice sounded smooth and deep, with a strong charm that was hard to explain.
It was calm and warm, the kind of voice that made people want to listen.
Amelia knew that voice very well.
She looked up fast, and a handsome face appeared right in front of her.
So it really was him!
“Why are you here?” Amelia asked.
“What, I can’t be here?” Jeremy said, raising an eyebrow as he looked at her.
To be honest, he was never supposed to be here.
He would never ask another woman to eat at this place. And he would never come here alone like an idiot just to eat.
But a moment ago, he had been driving by. While waiting at a red light, he turned his head without thinking.
And there he saw her-this little girl, eating with another man.
Just the two of them!
At first, he thought he had made a mistake. But how could he ever mistake Amelia for someone else?
