The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 685

Mason tried to appease him, but Timothy pushed him away and said, "Either way, Marcus is definitely getting an earful this time.

"Timothy, if you want to beat me up, I won't complain," Marcus said as he walked over and sat across from them. Your concerns are valid. I was careless this time. It's my fault. If you want to scold me, go ahead. If you want to hit me, I'll take it without complaint."

He sounded sincere, his expression genuine. He didn't show the slightest trace of anger. On the contrary, he agreed with Timothy's concerns and felt grateful for Mason speaking up for him.

"Thank you, Mason." Marcus looked at him earnestly.

Mason scratched his head. "Don't mention it. I was just speaking the truth."

Marcus' lips curled into a faint smile before he composed himself and said, "Timothy, I admit I was wrong this time, and I'll reflect on it. I promise this won't happen ever again.

"Whatever Nat wants to do while she's pregnant, I'll do it for her. I won't let her worry about a thing. I'll be even more careful and attentive, making sure she's safe, happy, and comfortable for the entire pregnancy."

Marcus promised seriously. "If you're still worried, we can have Natalie stay at the Walker residence. I'll go with her."

Timothy stayed silent. Mason stood up and patted Marcus on the shoulder. "Timothy, I've already helped you teach him a lesson. Let's drop it, okay? Look at how sincere Marcus is. Don't be unreasonable and keep pushing it."

"Thank you, Mason. But Timothy is right to scold me. I really did fall short, and I'm grateful he pointed it out. I'll be more careful in the future."

Seeing how serious Marcus was, Timothy was unable to say anything harsh.

Suddenly, Marcus' phone rang. He took a look and showed it to Timothy and Mason. "It's Nat. I'll answer this real quick."

Timothy replied calmly, "Put it on speaker."

"Yes, Timothy."

Marcus answered the call, put it on speaker, and then placed the phone on the table.

"Hello, Nat."

"Where did you go?" she asked.

"I'm here with Timothy and Mason," Marcus said gently. When he spoke to Natalie, his expression and tone would automatically become gentler. "What's up?"

"I'm all alone in the RV, and it's boring. Come back and keep me company."

"Alright. I'll come back right away," Marcus agreed without hesitation.

"I want a Coke. Buy me one," Natalie said. From her tone, it was clear she was smiling.

"Alright." Marcus agreed without hesitation once again. "I'll get it now and head right back."

"Thank you. I'll wait for you."

After Natalie finished speaking, she hung up. In fact, she was sitting in the RV opposite them, so she could see them through the window.

She knew Elijah had called Marcus away, and he was probably getting a scolding from her brothers.

But she didn't think Marcus had done anything wrong. She was the one who chose the honeymoon location, and she was the one who brought him to meet those people.

Getting pregnant was an unexpected event. Otherwise, her brothers wouldn't have had any reason to lecture Marcus.

With her soft smile and gentle tone, they made Timothy unable to press on the matter. He walked forward and patted her head gently. Then, he gave Marcus a light punch.

"Who told you to buy so much junk food for Natalie? You know these drinks are full of additives, right? Don't you know they're bad for her and the baby?"

Marcus nodded obediently, admitting his mistakes. "Timothy, you're right. It's my fault. I won't do it again."

"Timothy, I asked for it," Natalie said sweetly. "Your little nibling wanted to drink it, so don't blame Marcus. He's just spoiling me, granting my wish. He didn't do anything wrong."

"You…" Timothy could only sigh in the end. "I'm going to sit in the front. I don't want to watch you two being lovey-dovey."

"Don't go, Timothy. I'd like to talk to you about your games," Natalie said with a smile.

Timothy ruffled her hair and said, "Nat, you're pregnant. You should cut down on screen time. I'll drive. You and Marcus can rest at the back.

"You've been through a lot in Ashford Vale. If anything happens in the future, just tell us. Even if you want to do charity work, your brothers can help you."

Natalie nodded obediently. "Got it. Thank you, Timothy."

"Well, I'll go in front now. You two get some rest. We're heading home."

"Alright."

After Timothy went to the front, Mason came to the back.

"Nat, I'm telling you. Timothy is surely sulking right now," he said. "But we don't have to bother with him. He'll cheer himself up eventually."
