Relief washed over her, and she smiled. “Mr. Farill, hi. Let me introduce myself properly. I’m Lilly.”

“Hello, Lilly.” Jason’s voice was smooth and cool, impossible to read.

Jason didn’t give her an answer right away. “Why do you want to see William?”

She swallowed and admitted, “To be honest, my family’s company, the Lynch Group, has been working with William, but now we’re having some issues. William wants to back out of our deal, and I just want a chance to talk to him. Maybe I can change his mind. Please, will you help me?”

“Alright,” Jason said.

He actually said yes.

Lilly could barely keep herself from jumping up and down. “Thank you, Mr. Farill! Thank you so much for bringing me in to see William.”

Jason nodded. “Just remember, William and I are good friends. When we go in, I need you to keep quiet for a bit. I’ll bring up your situation when I see the right moment. Can you do that?”

“I promise,” Lilly said, nodding eagerly.

“Let’s go.”

Jason walked inside with long strides, and Lilly hurried after him. She knew it—there was always a way out. Jason really felt like her lucky star. No matter how this turned out, she was definitely going to treat him to a nice meal to thank him.
