The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 674

David’s face was suddenly so close, it was all Ella could see. His arms circled her waist, steady and warm, as he asked in a low voice, “Are you alright?”

Three years. They had been apart for three years. Now, all at once, she was surrounded by his familiar, clean scent and the strength of his embrace. For a moment, Ella felt like the world was tilting.

She caught herself just in time, pressing her hands to his broad chest, trying to push him away. “Mr. Harmon, I’m fine. Thank you.”

He didn’t let go. If anything, he held her tighter. “What were you thinking about just now?”

“I wasn’t thinking about anything.”

He arched a brow. “Come on. You were definitely thinking something. Ella, you were thinking about me.”

Ella, you were thinking about me.

Their bodies were pressed together, his solid frame against her softer curves. The air between them felt charged, almost electric. Ella’s pulse fluttered. “Mr. Harmon, let me go.”

“What if I say no?”

He still wouldn’t release her.

Ella was starting to regret ever agreeing to come to his office.

She squirmed in his hold, her eyes flashing with irritation. “Mr. Harmon, show some respect. If you don’t let go, I’m gonna get physical.”

She struggled, her body twisting against his in a way that only seemed to make things worse. David, after three years of celibacy, felt his control slipping. Desire flared through him, hot and sudden.

A slow, amused smile touched his lips. “Oh? And what are you going to do if I don’t?”

Ella clenched her jaw. “Are you seriously taking advantage of me right now? My daughter’s missing and you bring me here… what are you trying to do?”
