The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 643

David picked up the call. “Hey, Mom.”

“David, you’re back in the Capital, right? Come home for dinner. I miss you.”

There was no way David would say no to that. He agreed easily. “Sure.”

A short while later, his Rolls-Royce rolled to a stop on the Harmon family’s lawn. David got out and walked inside.

Mrs. Harmon was on the couch, and sitting next to her was Jessa.

It had been three years. Jessa looked even more stunning now, glowing with the confidence that came from being the richest heiress around. Life had clearly treated her well.

Mrs. Harmon’s face lit up when she saw him. “David, you’re back.”

Jessa looked just as happy. She jumped up and hurried over, her voice warm and bright. “David, you’re finally home.”

David hadn’t expected to find Jessa here. His lips pressed into a thin line, his voice cool. “Why are you here?”

Mrs. Harmon answered for her. “Jessa knew you’d be back today, so she came over early to wait for you. Isn’t that nice? I just want you two to settle down soon so I can have a grandchild.”

Jessa’s eyes were soft and full of hope as she watched David, her cheeks turning pink. “I want to marry David soon too, Mrs. Harmon.”

Mrs. Harmon smiled at her. “David, I had someone check a few dates for the wedding. Take a look.”

David shook his head. “Don’t bother. I’m not marrying Jessa.”

The room fell silent. Both Mrs. Harmon and Jessa froze on the spot.

David looked right at Jessa. “Jessa, you should know your worth. You already know I don’t like you. I’m never going to marry you. Please stop chasing after me. It only makes me resent you more.”
