The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 314

Jessa looked up and suddenly David’s striking face was right in front of her. Her heart skipped. David was here.

She stiffened, caught off guard. Why would David show up now?

“David, what are you doing here?” Her voice was barely more than a whisper.

David just stared at her, his expression icy, not saying a word.

Ella’s lips curled into a sly smile. “Jessa, I called him.”

Jessa’s eyes widened. She never saw that coming. Ella had actually called David here ahead of time?

Ella stepped closer, her eyes clear and bright, a teasing glimmer in them. Her smile was faint, almost mocking. “You and Sarah worked so hard to put on a show today. Of course I had to invite David to see it for himself.

“You knew Lucas was Lilly’s fiancé, but you still pushed Sarah to go after him and break Lilly’s heart. Then Lucas confessed to Sarah right in front of everyone, and the two of you just started twisting the truth. You made everyone think Lilly wasn’t good enough for him, encouraged them to call her names. Jessa, you and Sarah are vicious. It would’ve been a waste if David didn’t get to see what you’re really like.”

Every word landed like a slap, and Jessa’s face drained of color.

She never imagined Ella would pull something like this. Clearly, David had been here for a while. He must have seen everything.

Lilly was his cousin, the Lynch family’s treasured girl.

Jessa’s voice trembled as she looked at David. “It’s not what you think. Please, let me explain.”

David’s eyes were cold, unreadable. He let go of her wrist, leaving her feeling small and exposed.

Jessa took a shaky step back, panic rising inside her.

Then Ella’s gaze shifted to David. “Well.”
