When Brittany saw the tweet, public opinion online had already shifted.
Ryan's die-hard fans had spilled some insider tea.
It turned out that it was Shona who made the first move on Ryan. After they got together, Ryan proposed a prenuptial agreement, transferring all his properties to Shona's name.
All the rumors about him being a "kept man" and "selling his body" were bullcrap.
As for resources in the film industry, Ryan had been in the business for over a decade. His network and solid reputation were more than enough to get him where he is now.
Sure, Shona was loaded, but she didn't have much clout in the entertainment circle. Even if she did help Ryan's career, isn't it normal for couples to support each other professionally?
"Holy cow, did Ryan lose his marbles? His properties, shares, and even his contracts, all belong to Shona now."
"Look at these numbers. Guys, I'm guessing Ryan's worth at least over a hundred million dollars. He just handed it over like it was nothing, and you call this depending on a woman?"
"Now, this is what I call true love."
"Ryan initiated the prenup, and Shona cooperated. But after it was signed, she transferred some of her shares to Ryan, providing him financial security."
"Rumor has it, Shona's wedding gift was a million dollars, and her dowry was 5% shares of Grandeur Capital, also worth over a hundred million dollars!"
"This is a union of two powerhouses!"
"I can't wait for their wedding."
The shift in public opinion made Brittany admire Shona. The courage to choose someone so publicly and firmly was not something everyone had.
On the day of the wedding, Brittany left work early.
Nathan took her to a styling salon, where Isaac had been waiting for a while.
The woman in charge of the salon was a middle-aged woman with a unique style who was very sharp and capable. She personally received Brittany.
"Ms. Dustin, this way, please."
Brittany followed her into the makeup room, while Isaac waited outside.
Brittany was exhausted after a long morning meeting and an afternoon party. She couldn't help but doze off during the makeup session.
Isaac tried to take her hand, but she dodged. "Where's the car?"
A bit disappointed, Isaac led her to his car, opened the door for her, and she got in.
He got in right after her.
Nathan climbed into the driver's seat and started the car, adjusting the windshield carefully, not daring to glance back at the two in the rear seat.
Brittany leaned back in her seat, deep in thought. "How long till we get there?"
"About an hour and a half."
Brittany relaxed a bit and closed her eyes to rest.
Isaac remembered what the salon owner had said and asked, "Busy at work? Are some of your staff giving you trouble?"
"As for work, Mr. Salter, you might want to stay out of it," Brittany said with a cold laugh. "Or you can investigate it yourself, since this isn't the first time."
The Dustin Group had just weathered a crisis, and there was still a pile of issues to sort out.
