Her words hinted at a silent approval.
Joy flashed in Isaac's eyes. Damn, the tricks from those web novels actually worked!
"Alright."
A black car pulled up in front of the apartment building. Isaac got out, walked around to the other side, and opened the door for Brittany.
Her expression remained cold, but she didn't reject his approach anymore.
Isaac was thrilled. She was starting to soften. If he played his cards right, she would definitely forgive him.
When that time came, they could start over.
Isaac escorted her upstairs. As they reached the fifth floor, they found that Joie was waiting by the apartment door.
Brittany quickly pulled her hand away and looked at Joie coldly, "What are you doing here?"
Isaac's hand felt empty, making him feel slightly uneasy.
He looked at Joie with a puzzled gaze, as if asking why she was there.
Joie bit her lip, her eyes pleading, "Isaac, I came to apologize to Bri. I was wrong before."
"Bri, you should move back to Radiant Residences. Grace has really been missing you these past few days." Joie's eyes reddened, "It's my fault. If you really don’t like me, I can move out."
Brittany was speechless.
Without saying a word, Joie started to guilt-trip her?
She claimed it was for Grace, but in front of Isaac, she insinuated that Brittany was making a mountain out of a molehill.
She took out her key, opened the door, and then glanced at Isaac, "This is your family business. Handle it yourself!"
"Bri…"
Brittany changed her shoes and went straight back to her room without looking back.
Isaac didn't expect that Joie would ruin his hard-earned progress.
He looked at Joie impatiently, "You should apologize, but you shouldn't have come here without asking."
Joie cried harder.
"Stop crying. Nathan is downstairs. I'll have him take you home."
Everyone had their own vanity.
Even though she was pregnant, she still insisted on skincare.
After hearing his response, she paused, "As you wish."
Isaac walked over, held her hand tightly, and hugged her. He closed his eyes, and his long, curled lashes formed a net that trapped Brittany, making her immobile.
Her anger, dissatisfaction, and complaints all disappeared at that very moment.
"Bri, I have a headache."
He had always had a headache problem. Years ago, he had undergone related treatments.
His headaches improved significantly after marrying Brittany, but recently they flared up again.
After smelling her scent, Isaac felt that his headache had eased a bit, but it was still unbearable.
Now that she saw his handsome face devoid of color, Brittany recalled what Nathan had said. She raised her hand and gently pressed on his temples, casually massaging them.
In an instant, Isaac felt the tension in his brain disappear.
