The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 322

Isaac stepped out of the car, donning a royal blue suit that made him look incredibly elegant and glamorous.

Kari rubbed her eyes in disbelief, wondering if she was seeing things.

To Isaac's surprise, Kari was still around, and she saw him with Nathan.

He cleared his throat. "Thanks a lot for today. Your car was fantastic. If I ever need a ride again, I'm definitely coming back to you guys."

Nathan was confused. After a brief moment of surprise, Nathan continued, "Mr. Salter, that would be $350 in total. Please pay up."

Isaac paid the amount and then turned to Kari with a face full of embarrassment.

Kari was puzzled. "Isaac, what's going on?"

"I had a business meeting this afternoon, so I rented a car." Isaac lied smoothly. "Is Bri still upstairs?"

"Yeah, she's still working overtime."

Kari suddenly understood. Renting a car to boost one's image was not uncommon.

Isaac walked past Kari and headed upstairs to find Brittany.

Kari was at a loss for words, especially when she saw the man in the driver's seat. "Your rental service comes with a driver?"

The service from this rental company was too good to be true.

And the driver was so handsome, absolutely irresistible!

Nathan was speechless.

Kari quickly grabbed her notebook. "Quick, give me your company's contact. If I ever need to rent a car, I'll come to you. How much for a day?"

Kari hesitated. She did need to rent a car for her business meetings to boost her image, but if the cost was too high, it would be hard for her to afford it.

Leaning against the steering wheel with one hand, Nathan looked at Kari's expectant eyes and found it amusing. "Are you sure you want to rent a car?"

"Of course, I need to go to business meetings too!" Kari said confidently, then hesitated. "But I can't afford a Rolls-Royce. I can consider other cars."

She needed to save money for a house, so she didn't have that much to splurge on a luxury car.

Nathan raised an eyebrow and gave her a series of numbers that made up his phone number. Then he held out his hand. "I'm Nathan."

"Kari."

Kari noted down the number and said, "I'll contact you if I need to."

She went back to her office, grabbed her bag, and quickly left.

It wasn’t even eight yet; was he done for the day?

"Being with you is more important than working overtime." Isaac wrapped his arm around her waist and led her away.

Once they got in the car, Isaac opened the drawer and took out a cup of lemon water. Lately, Brittany had been fond of sour stuff. This lemon water had five lemons squeezed into it. The smell alone was unbearable.

But Brittany loved it!

She popped the lid open and started sipping through the straw, "No need to pick me up tomorrow night. I'm going to a birthday party."

"What birthday party?" Isaac seemed a bit uneasy.

"Ms. Bennett's birthday party."

Shona Bennett's assistant had delivered the invitation that afternoon, emphasizing several times that she must attend.

Ms. Bennett?

For some reason, Brittany noticed that Isaac seemed uncomfortable, but she didn't think much of it.

She gulped down several mouthfuls of lemon water, causing Isaac to frown.
