The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 142

Wesley knew when to call it a day. "Everything's all set; just wait for the good news."

Brittany left the restaurant and was ready to drive back to the studio when Donna Dustin called.

"Bri, I heard you're going head to head with the Dustin family in court. What's going on?"

Donna Dustin lived in the suburbs and Brittany always held the principle of sharing only good news and not the bad, not wanting to add to Donna's stress.

She hadn't mentioned the lawsuit with the Dustin family to Donna.

Now that Donna was calling, Brittany's first thought was, crap, she had found out. The cat was out of the bag now.

"How did you find out?"

Donna Dustin replied, "Robert told me."

Robert had visited, hoping she could put in a good word for him with Brittany to mend their strained relationship.

"What was he doing there?"

Robert was just getting more and more shameless, not even sparing Donna Dustin.

"Don't worry, I'm fine."

Donna Dustin knew right from wrong and didn't want to argue with Robert, who was clearly blind to his own faults. She simply ignored his requests.

Patrina had bullied Brittany to such an extent and she deserved to pay the price.

If she sided with Patrina, how could she face Brittany in the future?

With all of the Dustin family protecting Patrina, only she stood by Brittany's side. She wouldn't abandon Brittany.

"You never tell me anything." Donna Dustin sighed, "Where are you staying now?"

Brittany sensed trouble brewing.

"Sure, I'll head down now; drive safe."

After hanging up, Isaac put on his shoes and went downstairs.

About ten minutes later, a black car pulled up.

He walked towards the car, and just as he reached it, the door opened, revealing a kindly old woman with a warm smile.

Isaac's eyes lit up, "Hello, I'm Bri's husband, Isaac."

Donna Dustin had been wanting to meet Brittany's husband but never had the chance. She'd heard he was an average guy and was worried Brittany might not be happy.

But the young man standing before her was handsome and upright, with an extraordinary temperament that left a deep impression.

His outfit wasn't particularly lavish, but one could tell it was of high quality.

Donna Dustin took a discreet once-over of him, and after a moment, she responded with a face full of smiles.
