Hawk’s name flashed on the screen.

Hawk knew he was with Victoria today, so he wouldn't be calling unless it was something extremely important that required immediate attention.

Elias’s expression darkened as he answered, his tone clipped. “What is it?”

“Mr. Shawn, Miss Vale says she wants to see you,” Hawk said, then hesitated, as if wanting to say more.

Yesterday, after Genevieve Vale had an emotional breakdown and injured Laurel, she had started acting erratically, demanding to see Elias and even banging her head against the wall.

The doctor had given her a sedative, but they couldn't use a large dose, so it had little effect.

With no other options, they had sent someone to ask Elias if he could see her, just to calm her down.
