238 Taken Away By Jason

The blonde–haired youth wore a face full of grievance. It’s obvious that Mr. Shane is in love. He wanted to protest, but under the sharp gazes of the surrounding men, he decided to hunch down and swallow his words.
“Kid, do you get it now?”
The blond youth nodded repeatedly. “Yes, I do, I do. Mr. Shane is a charming man. He would never bother to be in love.”
The group of burly men grinned in satisfaction.
“That’s more like it!”
Meanwhile, Shane, who was lost in thought, had snapped back to reality. He glanced around at his subordinates before asking, “Do any of you know the best restaurant?”
“The Warrens‘ Restaurant is the best. Their food tastes like home–cooked meals.”
“Mr. Shane, don’t listen to him. If you’re going to eat, go to Eterna Pavilion for their fine dining courses. It’s a masterpiece. I went there once and still dream about it, but it’s nearly impossible to get a reservation.”
“Forget all of that. Seafood is the only right choice. Marquis Seafood is the best in Pyrin. No place beats it.”
Everyone chimed in at once. The overlapping voices made Shane’s head throb.
“Shut up!”
Everyone immediately fell silent on his command.
The blond–haired youth spoke up timidly. “Mr. Shane, may I ask if you’re going alone or are you bringing a friend?”
Shane’s eyes lit up, and waved the blond–haired youth over,
The youth trotted up to him excitedly.
“I’m bringing a friend. Where’s the best place?” Shane asked.
“Is the friend of yours a male or a female? The choice of venue is different for each.”

Shane’s interest grew. “Tell me more.”
“If it’s a guy, you can go to the places they mentioned. But if it’s a woman, you have to be more thoughtful. Girls like places with elegance and ambiance.”
“A place with elegance and ambiance.” Shane pondered over his words. His hand landed firmly on the youth’s shoulder. “You’ve got potential.”
“That’s all thanks to Mr. Shane’s excellent guidance.”
Shane stood up and walked away without glancing at the rough men.
The moment Shane left, the room fell into chaos.
“What the hell!”
One of the men blurted out the words that echoed through everyone’s minds.
Mr. Shane is in love!
The same realization hit everyone at once.
On the other side of town, Seraphina had just returned home. The sound of cheerful conversation echoed from the living room. She was used to this, so she didn’t think much of it at first.
But when she stepped into the living room, her footsteps halted. Her eyes widened in surprise as she stared at the man sitting at the center of the room.
Jason! Why is he here?
Oberon noticed her return and waved her over. “Seraphina, come and greet your big brother.”
Seraphina approached them obediently and greeted, “Hi, Jason.”
Jason responded lightly as his eyes swept over her face. “Are you injured?”
Oberon and the others then noticed the wound on Seraphina’s face.
“Call Dr. Watson over now!” Oberon ordered Jasmine in a panic.
Her face must not be ruined!
Jason stood up and said to the couple, “I’m going to leave now. I’ll take Seraphina to the hospital.”
Oberon’s eyes lit up with gratitude. “Thank you very much, Mr. Drakon.”
“Mr. Whitewood, no need for the formalities. Seraphina had already called me her brother. I can’t let her down,” Jason said with a smile.
“Of course.” Oberon laughed heartily, his heart brimming with joy.
And just like that, Seraphina was taken away by Jason.
