Especially those three months. She was dragged into the elite community of the South City as a plaything for men from wealthy families and almost got herself killed in the process. Three months was enough for Sabrina to swear off believing in true love and above all, she wanted nothing more to do with wealthy men. She only wished to live in peace with her daughter and Zayn here in this country for the rest of her life, and nothing more.
Sabrina hesitated for a moment before answering,' Director Johns, I sort of have my hands full over here. Excuse me but I will have to hang up for now."
Sabrina hung up and swiftly got onto the scooter with her daughter. As soon as they arrived back home, Aino darted into the house screaming "Uncle, uncle!" along the way.
Zayn heard them and wheeled himself out. "Oh dear, here comes our precious little beauty Aino. Will you tell your uncle just who was it that you beat up today? Did they lose a tooth or two?" he asked playfully.
"Brother," Sabrina said, "you really shouldn't spoil her like this. She is a girl, she can't just go around beating little boys like a she-hulk."
"Well, I'd much prefer for my nephew to be more like a boy," Zayn said. "The last thing we want is for her to end up like her mommy, who gets bullied and
manipulated because she is simply too kind, too sentimental and too emotional for her own good. Our darling Aino is going to grow into a fierce woman who would never take crap from anyone! Am I right?"
"Uncle, Aino won't get bullied but Aino won't bully others either! Just wait and see, uncle, Aino is going to grow up and protect both you and mommy. I will never let anyone say that my uncle is a cripple and my mommy is an unmarried mother ever again!"
Both Sabrina and Zayn were overwhelmed with emotions, then they heard noises from outside their house.
"No!" Sabrina reached out abruptly and grabbed the handles of Zayn's wheelchair before pushing it further into the house, she then turned to Aino and said," Take care of your uncle for me, mommy is going to go out to have a look." And with that, she dashed out.
Sabrina saw a few men outside the fence who were holding up a mattress and on top of it, was Leo's father.
"You skank!" Despite his injury, Mr. Sullivan seemed energetic enough to fire insults. "Look at what that nasty little trick your daughter pulled had done to me, I want compensation, and more. Don't expect to go anywhere before you kneel and apologize to me! Try refusing and I'm going to tear down this crappy old cottage of yours!"
"I can't wait to see who has the audacity to play god here to tear down somebody's house!" Suddenly, a chilling voice was heard from behind them.
