"You stay right there, skank!" The sharp pain on his lower back made it impossible for him to stand so the man shouted as he was sitting on the ground." Woman, you try stepping out of this kindergarten, and I will make sure you suffer for it. People are going to find the corpses of both you and your daughter on the street, rotting!"
The threat had Aino startled and her hand froze in her mother's palm.
Sabrina looked down at her daughter, her heart ached for the little one and she consoled, "Aino, it's okay. Mommy will handle them."
Aino nodded in response and Sabrina turned to stare a t the vicious family calmly. "I am standing here now, how about you try and do something right here? This i s a civilized society, you try harming a hair on me and I will contact the local police. Not only will I do that, but I'm going to file a lawsuit against this kindergarten. I heard that your father-in-law sponsored this kindergarten, is that right? And I'm guessing he did so as an investment too? The moment I expose the scandals about this place, I'm pretty sure you are going to lose any potential profit." 1
The couple were rendered speechless and Sabrina turned to leave again.
"Just you wait! I have plenty of tricks up my sleeves
that will make your life miserable!" the obese man yelled in exasperation from behind.
Sabrina did not respond. This hadn't been the first time Neil had invited her, and she had turned the man down every single time before this. She never imagined that he would try again, let alone using the expansion of the construction and the success in recruiting new investors as an excuse for that.
Sabrina did not know how she should react, she feared that she might lose her job if she kept on refusing his invitation, but she wanted nothing to do with Neil other than work.
It had been five years since she escaped from the South City, and over the course of ten years she had been in the South City, she had finished her education only to end up in jail. When she was finally released, she had stepped into yet another pit of fire for three months. The decade she spent in that place seemed to have become a living nightmare that haunted Sabrina every second of her life.
