Goldie was rendered speechless by his words.
After a long pause, she softened her tone further and pleaded, "Please, I beg you, help me, give me a title, and let me give birth to our child. Then, I'll divorce you immediately so you can reunite with your wife!"
"You're crazy!" Old Master Shaw did not care for any of her words. He flung her aside and strode away.
Coincidentally, three days later, his mission was over and it was time for him to return home. Before leaving, he did not even bother to pay Goldie a visit because he did not see the need to.
It was impossible for him to be responsible for two women. The person he loved was his wife at home, her and her alone. Even if he went home and admitted his mistakes to his wife, she would forgive him considering the circumstances. From his youth until h e became an old man, he always took responsibility for his actions!
When he returned home, first he fooled around with his wife, checked in with his mischievous son, and then he told his wife about the incident.
She cried throughout the night in despair, and he stood by her side throughout it all. When she was done crying, he said to her, "I never had an ounce of feelings for her."
His wife was an understanding woman. Once she was done crying, she hugged her husband and said, "I'll be by your side through it all. If that woman comes here, the both of us will deal with her together! I don't believe she would willingly become a single mother. After all, she just wants money, isn’t it? I can pay her!”
However, Goldie never came to Old Master Shaw after that. She was pregnant, and could not bear to abort the baby. But even if she was willing to get an abortion, she did not even have a single friend in the city. Who would sign the consent form for the operation on her behalf? Left with no other choice, Goldie returned to her home country. 1
Old Master Shaw’s wife who was locked out of her own home was helpless. She screamed at the top of her lungs. "What have we done wrong!"
Old Master Shaw said, "You didn't do anything wrong, you should go in and rest. You have a weak heart too. Don’t get too agitated and fall sick, come on!"
His wife obeyed her husband, merely laying her head o n her husband's shoulder, crying.
At that moment, Goldie appeared in front of them. Her face pale, she said, "I really do not want to disturb you. My cousins forcibly questioned me for days, but I didn't tell them who the two of you are. Why would you voluntarily go to my house today to cause trouble?"
