Sorry for Your Loss It's Me I'm the Loss novel Chapter 892

Because Nicola had been getting sick frequently, Noah had hired a highly specialized night nurse and sent her to the White family's home. Since then, Nicola's health had improved.

But raising a child involved an endless stream of problems. Karina White always found some reason to contact Noah. He ignored most of her calls, but some things were unavoidable.

Cynthia said nothing, lowering her head to continue reading her script.

After finishing the call, Noah spoke to Cynthia, his tone cautious. “Nicola’s preschool is having a family day tomorrow. I’ve always gone with her in the past. If I suddenly don't show up, she’ll feel left out.”

Nicola was still young and didn't fully understand divorce. She might think that because her parents were no longer together, her father didn't want her anymore.

“Mm. I see,” Cynthia replied, her tone completely flat.

Unsure if she was angry, Noah wisely decided not to press the issue.

The next morning, Noah was preparing to drive to the White's residence to pick up Karina and Nicola for the preschool event.

Just as his car was pulling out of the garage, he saw Cynthia and the housekeeper, Mrs. Gable, emerging from the villa.

Cynthia looked pale. Her hair was uncombed, and she had simply thrown a trench coat over her loungewear. Mrs. Gable looked frantic.

Noah pulled the car to a stop in front of them, his voice filled with confusion and concern. “Where are you two going?”

“Ma’am suddenly started having stomach pains. I’m taking her to the hospital for a check-up,” Mrs. Gable said, her voice tight with urgency and worry.

After the incident where their previous maid, Gina, had been bribed by the Whites, Cynthia was wary of hiring new staff.

Mrs. Gable had been with the Scott family for over a decade and was completely trustworthy.
