She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 680

Loyce nodded. "Yeah, Grandpa said they're full-time staff."

Marcella frowned. "Christmas is meant for family. I see some of the staff around my age. You really ought to give them time off. They should be at home, seeing their grandkids for the holidays."

Loyce didn't argue. In fact, she smiled. "I can go talk to the head butler right now. But if we send them home, we'll be the ones cooking tomorrow."

Marcella scoffed lightly. "I may be old, but I'm not helpless. You think I can't put together three square meals for this family?"

Loyce chuckled. "Let me run it by my brothers first. Then I'll tell the butler to give the entire staff a paid week off so they can spend Christmas at home."

"Good girl," Marcella beamed.

Unsurprisingly, whatever Loyce asked for, the Lonsdale men wholeheartedly agreed to.

Her three billionaire brothers even volunteered to wake up at the crack of dawn to help Marcella in the kitchen.

Marcella couldn't stop smiling. "It's the thought that counts. Your hands were made for signing billion-dollar deals, not chopping onions. You boys don't know the first thing about cooking."

"Then we'll learn," Loyce said seriously. "It's a holiday. Everyone pitches in. No one sits around waiting to be served, especially not when it means you doing all the work. We all care about you, Marcella."

Deeply touched, Marcella couldn't help but cup Loyce's cheek. "You've really changed, sweetie. You're learning how to let people in. It's a wonderful thing."

Loyce offered a soft, genuine smile.

Sitting quietly on the sofa, Zelie watched the entire exchange.

She called out to Loyce, her expression surprisingly serious. "My little girl needs to rest. Don't get tired."

"I won't be tired," Loyce promised. "I'm really happy."

Zelie didn't say anything else; she just nodded, though a quiet determination settled in her eyes.

The next morning.

Marcella was the first one awake. She headed downstairs, planning to get a head start on breakfast for the kids. As she approached the kitchen, the rich, savory smell of cooking food hit her, accompanied by the clatter of pans.
