She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 64

Loyce wore a faint, unreadable smile as Sybil clung to her arm and the group swept into Allview Plaza’s luxury wing. Crystal chandeliers threw glittering light over everything. The air was thick with expensive perfume and that unmistakable sense of luxury.

“Loyce, should we start at Valentino?” Sybil pointed, voice intimate. “Their couture this season is perfect for a charity gala.”

“Sure,” Loyce said lazily, her eyes passing over six-figure gowns behind glass.

A few of the girls traded a knowing look. One in a Chanel suit spoke up with a sugary tone. “Ms. Lonsdale, have you attended an event at this level before? Do you want us to explain the dress code?”

She emphasized “before” on purpose.

Loyce gave her a half-smile. “No need.”

“Oh, Yuna, you’re too blunt,” Sybil said, pretending to smooth things over, then pivoting smoothly. “But Loyce, it does matter. Like that one…”

She pointed to a dramatic gown covered in sparkling stones with a long train. “That looks gorgeous, and it’s this season’s couture.”

The others immediately piled on, praising in chorus.

“Sybil has such good taste!”

“That dress looks like it was made for Ms. Lonsdale! It matches her vibe perfectly!”

Sybil had the sales associate bring it down and hand it to Loyce. “Try it. If you like it, we’ll look for jewelry to match.”
