She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 422

Lucian: "It involves classified military secrets."

Loyce remained silent for three seconds. "Is it the fallout from the oil field skirmish? You guys didn't end up fighting that battle."

She was fishing for information, but Lucian didn't answer directly. He was currently making predictions with the older strategists from the Presidential Palace faction. He couldn't share the details with her, or he risked putting her in unnecessary danger.

Lucian: "It's a matter of grave importance, otherwise I wouldn't have asked out of the blue, 'SaintHealer'."

The true master behind CoreWell Pharmacy was only one person.

A figure highly mysterious on the dark web and within the medical community, yet a name everyone knew.

He couldn't help but wonder just how many secrets this twenty-something girl was hiding.

Loyce picked up the file from the table and flipped through it. After scanning the details, her eyes landed on the final offer price, and she raised an eyebrow. "The Presidential Palace is certainly willing to write a hefty check."

"We have a deal," Loyce said, holding out her hand to ask for a pen to sign and stamp it. "For the next six months, you get two-thirds of the Frost Peppermint. The rest goes to my pharmacy. You have a war to fight, and I have patients to heal."

Lucian nodded. "Agreed."

Sensing the lingering awkwardness between them, Giselle glanced out the window at the dark, gathering clouds. Knowing a heavy thunderstorm was forecasted for the evening, she quickly pivoted. "Loyce, Mr. Shapiro, since you're both here, why don't you stay for dinner before heading out? Besides, Loyce, didn't you want to see my designs? I have so many ideas I want to show you."

Loyce nodded. "Sure."

Seeing her stand up and head straight for Giselle's room without giving him a second glance, Lucian felt a heavy tightness in his chest.

Emma hesitantly asked him, "Mr. Shapiro, would you like to stay for a simple meal? I've already prepped the food. Please, do me the honor?"
