She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 287

Giselle pulled a notebook from her school bag and flipped it open to a specific page.

The teachers crowded around, their eyes fixed on a beautifully concise formula written in neat script, accompanied by a detailed derivation.

“This…” Tedd’s hand trembled slightly. “This is advanced calculus!”

Clayton, unsurprised, explained, “Loyce is a top student at the medical university.”

“I just happen to know a little math,” Loyce interjected coolly, placing a piece of tender beef on Giselle’s plate. “Giselle is very bright. She gets it immediately.”

The atmosphere in the room had completely transformed. The teachers now looked at Giselle with a mixture of surprise and curiosity, while their gazes toward Loyce held a newfound respect.

“Giselle,” Tedd said, his attitude having done a complete one-eighty, “may I see your notebook?”

Giselle graciously handed it over. Tedd received it like a treasure, and the other teachers huddled around to look. The pages were filled with meticulous notes in a clear hand, presenting concise and clear solutions to various complex problems—some even more elegant than the methods in their textbooks.

“These notes…” Felix, the physics teacher, stared wide-eyed. “They’re more detailed than our lesson plans! May I make a copy?”

“Sure,” Loyce replied with a simple nod.

A few teachers who couldn’t quite grasp a concept from the notes immediately approached Loyce. “I don’t quite understand this part.”

Loyce glanced at the problem and then clearly explained the entire process, leaving everyone in awe of the young woman’s profound knowledge.

...

After the meal, as they were all leaving the private room, one teacher said, “I saw the news recently. We were all heartbroken for you, knowing the rumors were finally cleared up after you’d been suppressed for so many years.”

The teachers felt it was a great pity that such a rare talent had been buried for so long.

Loyce, however, seemed unfazed. “It’s getting late. I should take Giselle home. She has her monthly exam tomorrow.”

She felt she had done quite well, answering almost ninety percent of the questions. The only ones she was unsure about were the extra credit problems designed to test students for the Ace Class.

Hallie told her, “As long as you did what I taught you, the extra credit questions are just about applying what you know. If you thought outside the box, you would have solved them.”

Reassured, Cyrilla felt confident that she had probably answered the extra credit questions correctly. With her spirits high, she happily went to celebrate her birthday at the end of the long weekend.

She invited her entire class to the rooftop restaurant at the Crown Dining, a place rumored to be so exclusive that only the city’s elite could afford to dine there.

When she had tentatively brought it up with Zeke Shapiro, she had worried he might refuse. To her surprise, the old man had agreed readily, as the owner of the Crown Dining was a former comrade of Lucian’s, and they were on excellent terms.

“I just heard that Lucian is good friends with the owner of the Crown Dining, so he made one call and they let me book the main hall for my birthday party,” Cyrilla said, a blush on her cheeks as she stood in her pink spaghetti-strap dress.

One of the girls beside her chimed in, “My dad dropped me off in the underground parking garage just now, and I saw several military vehicles in the VIP spots. Cyrilla, is Lucian coming to wish you a happy birthday tonight?”
