She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 251

“Isn’t this a little too insane?”

“I just looked it up—when public institutions hire disabled workers through special programs, the government gives them subsidies. Don’t tell me they’re doing it for the money?”

“I’d bet on it! Oh my God! This is a brand-new hospital. Are they really about to turn into the next *Walsh Hospital* already?”

Seeing the outrage land exactly where she wanted it, Quiana let out a cold little laugh, pulled out her phone, and fired off a post on social media:

“SHOCKING! Blossom Hospital hires disabled people as DOCTORS but rejects qualified nurses—medical scandal exposed!”

She even attached a photo of the group at the table—framed so their missing limbs and deformities were impossible to miss.

The post exploded almost immediately. Outrage piling on outrage. Blossom Hospital was still in its hiring phase, and the moment trouble hit, it hit hard.

Near dusk, Loyce finally stepped out of the lab. Lucian had spent the day recovering at home, planning to go with her to the hospital for interviews that evening.

They had just reached his military SUV when Loyce’s gaze snapped sharp. She lifted an arm and stopped Lucian before he could climb in.

“Don’t move.” Her voice was quiet—flat with a chill that didn’t allow debate.

Lucian froze instantly. Years in uniform had trained his body to obey danger before his mind finished naming it. Following her line of sight, he stared into the shadow beneath the chassis.

“Something there?” he asked under his breath.

Loyce didn’t answer. She crouched, unzipped her bag, and took out a scalpel and tweezers—hands so gentle you’d think she was handling a fragile specimen.

Lucian’s expression darkened. “A bomb?”

“Yeah.”

Her fingers didn’t tremble once. She slid her hand under the vehicle, the scalpel finding a concealed device and prying it open with surgical precision.

When the wires were exposed, she pinched one with the tweezers and cut it clean.

“Timer bomb. Three minutes left. Whoever planted it timed it around your schedule,” she said calmly, already cutting two more critical lines.

Lucian’s eyes went ice-cold. “With the security here, nobody should be able to bring in a bomb and mount it under my car.”
