She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 250

Blossom Hospital must be really short-staffed, she thought, if they were hiring stray dogs from God knows where to be doctors.

"If I'd known they were this desperate, I should have applied for a doctor's position," Quiana muttered to herself. She glanced down at her phone. The results from her Blossom Hospital interview should be coming in soon. As a nursing graduate from a prestigious medical school, she was confident she'd get the job.

Just then, her friend called to ask about the interview.

Quiana smiled. "I think it went well. The interviewer seemed pretty happy with me."

"That's amazing," her friend said, her voice filled with envy. "I didn't even make it past the resume screening. I heard it's incredibly competitive to get in there. The pay and benefits are great, so even experienced nurses from other hospitals are applying. I'm so jealous, Quiana."

"It's nothing," Quiana said, though she was inwardly preening. Just then, her phone vibrated. It was a call from the hospital.

Quiana's face lit up. "The hospital is calling me now. I'll switch over."

She quickly answered the call. A crisp, clear female voice came through the line. "This is Blossom Hospital. Quiana, we regret to inform you that you have not passed the final interview assessment. We wish you the best in your future job search. Goodbye."

"Hello? Hello!?" Quiana's eyes widened, her fingers clenching her phone so tightly her knuckles turned white.

Impossible! She snapped her head up, her gaze landing on the group at the next table. They were still quietly discussing the hospital's benefits, their tones a mix of hesitation and hope.

Why?! How could she, a top graduate from a proper medical school, be rejected while these cripples—some of them missing fingers—were getting hired as doctors at Blossom Hospital?!

Fury surged through her. Quiana shot to her feet, the chair scraping loudly against the floor and drawing glances from around the cafe. She ignored them, a cold sneer on her face as she spoke loudly. "My, how times have changed. Now even cripples can be doctors?"

The words dropped into the cafe like a stone, and a sudden silence fell.
