Loyce perched on the edge of his expensive desk and picked up a crystal ashtray, toying with it in her hands. “That gun you’re holding… you enjoy using it?”
The moment the words left her mouth, her slender arm shot up. Before anyone in the room could react, she brought the ashtray crashing down on Onyx Tiger’s head. A sickening crack echoed through the room as the crystal shattered against his skull, sending a spray of blood down his face.
The suite fell into a dead silence, everyone frozen by the sudden, brutal violence.
The guards behind her recovered and were about to open fire, but Loyce’s other hand was already moving. She drew a sleek pistol from a thigh holster hidden beneath her dress and, without even looking back, put a bullet in each of them.
Serpent, who was standing nearby, made a break for the door, but he was shot down before he took two steps.
The shot, however, didn’t come from Loyce. It came from the beautiful young woman who had been sitting silently on the sofa, watching everything unfold. She was an agent Hugo had planted in the casino long ago, one of Loyce’s subordinates.
The woman walked to the door. “I’ll take care of the ones outside. You can take your time with the interrogation, Boss.”
Onyx Tiger, his head a bloody mess after several more blows, collapsed to the floor. Loyce pinned him down, the sharp heel of her stiletto digging into his neck. “You dealt my merchandise, and I took a couple billion of yours. I’d say I still came out short on this deal.”
Loyce twisted her heel, looking down at him imperiously. “Why did you hijack my shipment?”
