"Are you ready?" Samuel saw that they had gathered outside City J Base and nodded in satisfaction.
At least, none of them were lazy.
"Yes, Brother!"
"Yes, Sam."
"In that case, you should go with Peter and after escorting them, you can do whatever you want, Peter," Samuel said while turning to look at Peter.
"I’ll just follow what those people in the Martial Arts Association wants me to do," Peter replied calmly.
He had no interest to create jobs for himself to do.
Those people at the Martial Arts Association were already very annoying and Peter didn’t want to add to his workload.
"Yes."
...
They all bid their farewell and headed their separate ways.
It would take at least a few months before they could see each other again, but no one was sad. They believed that they would still be well and alive by the time for their next meeting.
"So, are we going straight to the crack?" Samuel asked as he and Riya walked along the ruins. The battle with the magic beasts had destroyed the landscape and Samuel didn’t know when it would be possible to repair it.
With so many magic beasts coming out of the cracks, there was a limit to how many places they could possibly protect.
"Yes," Riya replied. "We’re heading to the biggest crack."
"The biggest one?"
Riya nodded and thought about the previous Giant Rock Golems that they faced in City J Base. Even though the threat from these Giant Rock Golems were over, but there were still some things left that she had to clean up.
"Do you remember the Giant Rock Golems?"
"I remember." Samuel frowned. He had to say that he didn’t like facing those Giant Rock Golems. Even though these Giant Rock Golems were not that strong, but it was a bit troublesome to deal with.
"These Giant Rock Golems are big and when they come out of the crack, they basically tear of the space," Riya said in helpless tone. "If nothing is done, there might be other big magic beasts like this Giant Rock Golems coming out in the near future."
To be honest, Riya didn’t know how the ’gate’ was able to hold on when these Giant Rock Golems came out one after another. She knew that the grounds were destroyed and the formation that she set up had become invalid.
But Riya didn’t know how these Giant Rock Golems managed to successfully enlarge the cracks.
No matter what, leaving those cracks be wouldn’t be wise.
Who knew what kind of magic beasts would come out next time?
Samuel froze. "Can you see the crack from the sky?"
"From what I know about our continent’s technology... it should be possible to notice it?" Riya asked back with some hesitation.
She was just an ordinary person before the world was destroyed. Even after the changes of the world, Riya didn’t really behave abnormally...
"I’ll leave it to you, my bodyguard," Riya answered without hesitation.
Samuel looked at Riya helplessly. "When did I become your bodyguard again?"
Besides, does someone like Riya really need his protection? From what he knew, her defense was far better than him. If she wanted to, she could probably defuse an entire nuclear bomb on her own without damaging the environment in the slightest bit.
As for him?
It would be good enough for him if he could make it explode in advance further away from their position. But he clearly wouldn’t be able to protect the people around him.
It was a bit annoying if Samuel had to say.
Riya glanced at Samuel and suddenly asked, "Have you reached the point where you can create a domain?"
A domain...
It was a special state for warriors where they used their blood, aura, and their perception to lock down an area around them. This domain could only be formed in a small area around them, but it was extremely effective.
Through the domain, they could trap their enemies and kill their opponents easily, which was something that many warriors had longed to do.
But at the same time, it was extremely difficult to reach this state.
Because of the difficulties of forming a domain, not all warriors and magic warriors who reached rank 7 would be able to make it.
Samuel froze when he heard the question and turned to look at Riya with questions on his face. "When did you ever hear of me forming domain?"
