This actually surprised Elena a little.
She had always thought Xavier was an incredibly selfish man, considering he had completely ignored his own son who had been disabled up north for years.
She never expected him to have a side like this.
Suddenly, her heart ached for Dylan.
He had received neither his mother's love nor his father's.
If Xavier had treated him even half as well as Damian, Dylan wouldn't have been left up north to rot!
Elena silently reached out and wrapped her arms around Dylan's waist.
Dylan felt a rush of warmth wash over him.
The faint, sweet scent of her perfume drifted toward him, bringing him an inexplicable sense of peace.
They soon arrived at the Sinclair residence and ran into Amelia.
"This is Damian's sister, Amelia," Dylan told Elena. "She just got back. She's an internationally renowned painter!"
"Dylan, is this your fiancée? She's absolutely gorgeous!" Amelia said gently.
"Thank you," Elena replied coolly.
She wasn't particularly warm toward strangers and tended to be a bit aloof.
"By the way, Elena, weren't you going to see Scarlett? Let me walk you over," Dylan offered.
