Thinking about how he used to bully her, it was truly laughable and childish.
Elena had never bothered to hold it against him; otherwise, he would have been beaten to a pulp long ago.
After thinking it over, Max suddenly turned and ran back toward Elena.
"Max, stop right there! What are you running back for? Do you want to get our whole family killed?" Mrs. Holt shouted.
Max ignored her.
Elena and Dylan were about to get in the car when Max rushed up.
"Elena, these are flower pastries. For you!" Max handed her the bag.
Dylan was angry. "Mr. Holt, did you not take my words to heart?"
"I'm just giving her some pastries. No other intentions."
Seeing the situation, Elena reached out and took them. "Thanks."
Seeing Elena thank him, Max's eyes lit up.
It was the first time Elena had ever been this nice to him!
Watching him fawn over her, Dylan's jealousy exploded again.
He pulled Elena into the car.
"Caleb, drive!" Dylan ordered sharply.
After getting in the car, Dylan's expression remained tense.
"Why aren't you talking?" Elena asked.
The car had been driving for ten minutes, and he hadn't said a word.
"I'm unhappy," Dylan stated directly.
Caleb, listening from the front, felt like Mr. Sinclair was sulking.
It was actually kind of cute.
"What's making you unhappy? Tell us so we can be happy," Elena asked softly.
Pfft—
Caleb almost burst out laughing.
Dylan was speechless.
When did his Elena learn to crack jokes?
