"Bonnie!"
Just as Bonnie was getting angry, she heard footsteps from outside the private room. Soon, Darryl entered with a smile on his face and asked, "How does it feel to be a prisoner?"
Bonnie's face immediately reddened. "How dare you still come here, Darryl! I could have killed you at Pearl City but decided to spare your life, and now you dare to ambush me? So much for the hero of the Nine Mainland!"
Darryl was not angry at what she said at all. He continued smiling and said, "It seems like you still need time for self-reflection. I came here not to argue with you but to ask you, where is Yuri?"
Even though he was smiling, there was no disguising the panic in his eyes. After capturing Bonnie, he had searched through every nook and cranny at the Temple of Light and still could not find Yuri.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You two sure have a deep bond," Bonnie said in a sarcastic tone.
"Where is she?" Darryl was frowning, his patience running thin.
Bonnie was not about to back down; she said coldly, "Why should I tell you after all that you did to me?"
Darryl's anger immediately flared up, but he chuckled softly and said, "Fine, have it your way. In that case, I'll let the 12 paladins decide how they want to deal with you. Think of all the torture they'll put you through for poisoning them."
"Pegasus, return all the gifts," Yalena said. As the Goddess of Light, she had no interest in material things like that.
"As you wish," the Pegasus Paladin said and gestured for the others to carry the gifts away.
"Wait!" Darryl shouted as he entered the hall. He was scanning the gifts as if looking for something. He had rushed over as soon as he heard that the Holy Light Ceremony was over. He knew that the Queen of the Golden Lion principality had gifted the Thousand Variations Box to Yalena, which contained the second half of the Holy Jade Scripture.
Instantly, Pegasus Paladin stopped what he was doing and looked confusedly at Darryl. Why would the Saint Lord be interested in those things?
