Buzz!
At that instance, the dragon was jolted, enraging it and shocking it. The dragon felt the guy in front of him was not only a saint king level, but the energy surging inside of him was incredibly powerful. It was almost unfathomable.
Soon, the Blood Ritual to claim ownership of the dragon was done. Finally the dragon had let go of his pride and said to Darryl, “Master!”
Although the dragon was unwilling to accept it, it could not help it. Once the Blood Ritual was completed, nothing could be changed. From then on, its destiny was tied to Darryl.
Darryl smiled and nodded. “I know you’re not convinced and feel you’ve been deceived, but I can definitely help you remove the Trap Dragon Thorns.”
As he spoke, he began to change his tune. “However, before I remove the Trap Dragon Thorns, you have to promise me you won’t do anything evil that will endanger mankind once you leave this cave.”
“Yes, Master,” the dragon quickly responded.
Darryl stopped beating around the bushed and jumped on the dragon’s back once again as he started to silently chant the formula. Then, he pulled out the Trap Dragon Thorn. Pulling out the thorn required a formula that Darryl had seen before in the ancient books.
Roar!
The dragon was incredibly excited to have its freedom, so it threw its head back and roared.
…
Meanwhile, Cullen and Madelin had been running for over ten minutes after fleeing the cave. Once they were sure it was safe, they finally stopped.
“Cousin, why would you leave Darryl behind?” Madeline was trembling in anger and heartbroken.
She had just found Darryl again before her cousin abandoned him in the cave.
Madeline was the first to snap back to her senses as she stood up and shouted in surprise and joy, "Darryl? You’re alright! That’s great.”
She thought the dragon killed Darryl and had been sad about it earlier. She was overjoyed to see he was safe.
However, Cullen was frowning. ‘F*ck! This guy isn’t dead? What the hell man?”
Darryl smiled in response to the care Madeline showered him with. "How could anything possibly happen to me?"
Madeline looked curious. "What on earth is going on? How do you get along so well with this dragon?"
Madeline had not forgotten to eye the dragon cautiously as she spoke.
“I spoke with the dragon and he told me my skin is too thick and I’m not tasty,” Darryl said, smiling.
