"Darren!"
Clarice spoke softly when she saw Darryl was deep in thoughts. "Why don't you put me down? Let me cultivate my internal energy. You can take a look around to see if there is any trace of my brothers."
Clarice took a look at the environment around the garden when she said that. The place was much safer than the river bank. Most importantly, she was a woman, so he should not carry her at all times.
"Alright."
Darryl nodded as he put Clarice down. Then he went around to check.
Bang!
He did not know how far he had walked when he heard another vibration from somewhere in front of him. He quickened his pace until he arrived at the location. He was stunned instantly.
He saw an alluring figure a few dozen meters away. Her gorgeous face looked lost and shocked; she looked utterly stunned.
It was Melody.
"Master?"
Melody saw Darryl too. She shouted happily as she rushed forward. "Master, I knew you'd be fine."
Darryl smiled. "Why are you here?"
Melody looked around and said softly, "After I woke up, I heard the prison guards say that you had run away. Father sent many disciples to look for you. I am worried they might find you, so I went looking at the back of the hill. I saw a cave, and then, here I am."
Darryl nodded silently. It looked like Melody was there by mistake.
"Master, what is this place?" Melody asked.
It was a huge ancient city that looked like a wasteland; it was amazing. She had grown up there, and yet she did not know anything about that.
He could see some ancient patterns on the walls. There were pictures of men in ancient times hunting some animals. All the paintings looked very real.
There was also a black button on the side of the wall. It looked like it was made of black-colored stone; it was really outstanding.
It was obvious that the stone was some kind of trap.
"What is that stone for?" At that moment, Melody was really curious as she asked Darryl.
At the same time, she stared at the wall without blinking.
Darryl took a deep breath and shook his head. "It must be a trap. The whole place looks weird."
Melody nodded when she heard that. However, her intense curiosity still drove her to walk forward.
Darryl reminded her when he saw that. "My apprentice, do not touch that stone! Be careful; it might be a trap." As he spoke, Darryl looked around subconsciously.
