Darleen strolled leisurely arm-in-arm with Claudia, browsing the shops that lined the street.

"Claudia, there were too many people last night, so we didn't get a chance to really talk," Darleen said. "How about we check out a trendy new restaurant for lunch?"

Claudia had nothing else planned for the day, so she readily agreed. "My treat."

Perfect. There were a few things she wanted to ask Darleen, too.

"Ramona?"

Darleen's sharp eyes spotted Ramona and several others making a beeline for a beauty salon.

It suddenly clicked for Darleen that the salon owned by Ann's aunt was on this very street.

Instantly energized, she grabbed Claudia's arm. "Claudia, there's gonna be a show! Come on, let's follow them!"

Completely bewildered, Claudia let herself be dragged across the street.

At the entrance of the Salon, Darleen tried to poke her head inside, but Claudia quickly pulled her back.

The two found a place to hide and peeked in, ready to watch.

It was just after ten in the morning, but the salon was already bustling with clients.

Ramona, her mother Mrs. Quinn, and two or three of Mrs. Quinn's friends—a group of four or five in total—stormed into the salon.

Ann, who had just been released from custody, was helping out at the salon at her aunt's request.

Seeing Mrs. Quinn and her entourage burst in, Ann guiltily retreated behind the reception desk.

The staff and a few clients saw the commotion and gathered to watch.

"Mrs. Quinn," Ann said, "what is the meaning of this? Bringing so many people here?"

Mrs. Quinn didn't mince her words. "Don't think that just because your aunt is pregnant with my husband's child, she can turn from a nobody into royalty!"

Ann glanced around nervously.

Hiding behind a curtain, Claudia couldn't help but frown.
