The secretary watched Quennel's grim face and asked the question in a small voice.
"It doesn't matter. Even if we bury this story, another one will just pop up. The Rosenberg family's money isn't meant for cleaning up his messes!"
They had already spent a fortune suppressing scandals for him, but the stories were appearing faster than they could take them down. There was no point in continuing.
"Understood," the secretary nodded, agreeing that Quennel had a point.
Half an hour later, Quennel arrived at the hospital.
He had his secretary and driver wait downstairs while he went up to Lionel's room alone.
When he arrived, he found Lionel covered in bandages, with tubes running into his arms. He was a complete wreck, and even his face was bruised and swollen.
"What are you doing here?"
Hearing someone enter, Lionel had initially thought it was Hannah. He turned his head in excitement, but his expression darkened instantly when he saw it was Quennel.
"What happened?" Quennel asked, his voice low as he sat on the nearby sofa.
"Do you have any idea that you getting beaten up is trending online again?"
Lionel's brow furrowed slightly. "I didn't know. What's so newsworthy about that? You didn't come here just to tell me this, did you?"
"Hmph," Quennel scoffed, his eyes filled with anger. "I couldn't care less that you were beaten up or that it's trending. But because of you, Hannah's been dragged into it again!"
Lionel froze for a few seconds, struggling to process the words.
He winced, pushing himself up slowly with his elbows, the pain shooting through his body.
