It was a video of Lionel carrying her from the car, gently placing her on a hospital gurney.
It was followed by a clip of him sitting outside the operating room, hands clasped, brow furrowed in a pained expression, as if he were praying for her safety.
Seeing the videos, Sandra’s eyes filled with tears. It felt as if all the grievances she had suffered over the past few days had simply melted away.
He still had feelings for her! If he didn’t, why would he have waited outside the operating room for so long? Why would he have worn such a tormented expression?
Sandra wiped away her tears and took a deep breath. Thinking back, although Lionel had been cold to her lately and seemed preoccupied with Hannah, he had always rushed to her side whenever she was in trouble.
It was her own impatience, her feeling that their divorce was imminent, that had pushed Hannah to become more and more extreme, leading them to this point.
After a moment of reflection, Sandra picked up her phone and sent a message to Owen, asking him to keep a close eye on Lionel and report any unusual activity.
Then, she called her mother and told her to get the necklace from the safe and have it ready for Gloria.
Meanwhile, at the Temple estate, Hannah and Samuel were enjoying afternoon tea.
