Chapter 80 A Big Storm
Finished
“What happened?” Benjamin’s voice was calm, yet the pressure behind it was overwhelming.
Amelia lowered her gaze, still trying to come up with some excuse.
But before she even formed one, Sadie rushed in, stammering, “I, I-I’ve got a video!”
She played the footage she had secretly recorded on set right there in front of Benjamin.
Amelia didn’t even have time to stop her.
Sadie complained, “T-This is Levi, the assistant director! I found out the main director’s been away these past two days, so Levi’s in charge of filming! He targeted Amelia on purpose!”
Sadie was so furious that she even forgot to stutter halfway through.
Benjamin finished watching the entire video. Then he took out his phone.
“Send it to me,” he said.
Sadie’s eyes lit
If he was asking for the video, that meant he was going to take Amelia’s side next.
Sadie, a die-hard fan of dramatic justice, was already itching to witness Benjamin and Amelia’s love story unfold.
When she finished sending the video, she sensibly prepared to leave.
She asked, “Amelia, since you and Nina’s dad are both here, you probably don’t need me to babysit, right? I’ll head out! I can go home and play games.”
Amelia didn’t need Sadie to look after Nina anymore. So she nodded and let Sadie go.
Once Sadie left, only the three of them remained in the office.
Benjamin’s assistants had even better awareness than Sadie. They knew exactly when to appear and when to disappear.
The silence in the room felt too heavy.
Even with Nina still sniffling softly, being stared at by Benjamin without him saying a word made the air feel unbearably still.
Unable to stand it anymore, Amelia finally spoke first, “Benjamin, it wasn’t a big deal. You don’t need to worry about it.”
“Once the director is back, the set will be fine.
“I really didn’t mean to bring Nina and Sadie here to complain to you.”
She kept trying to explain, but Benjamin wasn’t listening to her excuses. His attention stayed on her face.

Chapter 80 A Big Storm
He didn’t ask what had happened. Instead, in a low voice, he asked, “Does it still hurt?”
Amelia froze. She hadn’t expected that question from him at all.
“N-No… it doesn’t hurt anymore,” she mumbled.
Fmished
But the moment she said that, Benjamin stared for two more seconds, then lifted Nina off his lap and set her on the floor.
Nina, who had been sitting comfortably on her dad’s lap, was too surprised to stand.
With a soft thump, she landed right on the floor.
Benjamin didn’t pick her up-he walked over to get a box of ointment.
By then, Nina had already been scooped up by Amelia.
The little one looked utterly wronged. When she saw Benjamin returning, she lifted her chubby face, wet, round eyes full of silent accusations.
Benjamin took one look at Nina’s mad expression and decided he could deal with that later.
“Amelia, come closer,” he said.
Years of being at the top had given him an unintentional aura of authority. Even in everyday life, he carried a pressure that made people instinctively tense.
Amelia was afraid of him, so she leaned toward him almost reflexively.
She had barely tilted forward when she realized what she was doing.
She hurried to pull back-but Benjamin’s fingers were already gently holding her chin.
“Don’t move,” he added.
He first wiped her face with a damp tissue. Then he took the ointment and carefully applied it along her cheek.
“This will help with the pain and swelling,” he said quietly as he worked.
Amelia held her breath so long she nearly passed out.
He wasn’t even finished before he noticed how red her face had gotten from holding her breath.
He paused and said, “Amelia, you can breathe.”
She inhaled twice-unevenly, like someone who had just learned how to breathe.
Watching her panic like this, Benjamin suddenly felt he understood who Nina had inherited her cuteness
