Chapter 533 Coming to Visit Soon

The couple cuddled closely together, lingering in quiet warmth for quite a while before finally drifting off to sleep side by side.

The next morning, Nina woke up earlier than Benjamin and Amelia.

Still in her little cow pajamas, she climbed down from the bed all by herself and headed straight to find William.

William was out doing his morning exercise in the yard.

Nina tried copying William, attempting to stand in a martial arts stance.

Her chubby little legs weren’t steady like his, though.

With a thud, she plopped right down onto the ground.

William laughed softly at her silly little move. “Nina, why’d you plop down on the floor?”

Nina said, “Grandpa, Nina fall.”

The two didn’t stay outside long. William hadn’t even finished his morning workout, and he wouldn’t let Nina run around the yard in her pajamas.

The weather was growing colder day by day, and he worried she’d catch a chill.

He said, “Nina, we have to stay nice and warm.”

William picked Nina up and carried her back inside to get changed.

Nina put on soft thermal long johns first, then a pink hoodie printed with little bunnies, paired with blue sparkly pants.

Nina loved anything shiny and sparkly-she thought her outht looked absolutely pretty.

She mostly wore casual sneakers, too.

She ran around nonstop all day, and other kinds of shoes just couldn’t keep up with her endless energy.

William fixed her all up, kissed her chubby cheek, then carried her out for breakfast.

Amelia and Benjamin got up a little later.

Some mornings, they’d drop Nina off at daycare themselves.

Other days, William or Daniel would take her instead.

It had to be said—with the whole family stepping in to help care for Nina, Amelia’s life had gotten so much easier than before.

He asked, “Amelia, have you gone to try on your wedding dress and all the other outfits yet?

“Vincent was asking me about the wedding plans yesterday. Winter’s coming soon, and an outdoor wedding will be way too cold by then-we might have to switch to an indoor venue.

“You and Benjamin ought to talk it over carefully.”

William gently reminded them not to fall behind on wedding preparations.

He wanted to lend a hand, but he knew the final decisions still belonged to the young couple.

Benjamin hadn’t forgotten about their wedding at all.

He told William to go ahead and draft the guest list.

All his arrangements were nearly finished.

Their wedding would definitely happen within a month at the latest.

While the adults chatted about wedding plans, Nina was already playing happily with her classmates back at Sunbeam Daycare.

One little kid had brought special treats to share with everyone-several boxes of snappers.

No one knew where he’d gotten them.

He’d snuck them into daycare quietly and generously passed them around to all the other children.

Nina got the biggest share-the little boy was totally fond of her.

The snappers were super easy to play with; toss them on the ground and they’d pop right away.

If one didn’t pop when thrown, stepping on it with a shoe would set it off too.

Nina loved playing with them more than anything.

She giggled nonstop as she tossed them around, finishing one box in no time.

Their teacher walked over to stop the kids. The second Nina spotted her coming, she quickly slipped the remaining box into her pocket.

Once the teacher drew near, she held up her empty little hands with an innocent look. “No.”

Nina was plenty clever for her age and great at reading grown-ups’ expressions.
