Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 420

Chapter 420 His Sick Preferences

Nina had sat through this kind of safety talk many times before.

She sat on the edge of the bed, giggling as Benjamin pu her socks on. “Tell Daddy!” she chirped.

Benjamin looked at her soft, giggling face-for the first time, her cuteness didn’t melt his heart.

He had no room for any other thoughts now. All he wanted was to find Blue’s uncle and kill him.

“Daddy, no,” Nina protested, unaware of the murderous rage her father was barely holding back.

She wiggled her chubby foot, still being picky. She wanted the shoes with the little butterflies.

Holding her plump foot, Benjamin explained patiently. You picked the butterflies off that pair, sweetie. There aren’t any butterflies left. I will buy you new ones today. Let’s wear these for now.”

Even the promise of new shoes didn’t placate her.

“Daddy, no,” Nina insisted, not so easily fooled.

In the end, Benjamin dug out the old pair. He found the fallen-off butterflies and glued them back on, finally satisfying his daughter.

The content Nina, now wearing her butterfly shoes, toddled off to breakfast.

Daniel was up too. He saw Nina and was about to feed her breakfast when Benjamin called him away before he could start.

“Benjamin, what’s up?” Daniel asked.

He felt a pang of guilt over keeping what happened between Lester and Nina a secret from Benjamin, so seeing Benjamin’s stormy expression made his eyes dart around nervously. His feet were already angled toward the door, ready for a quick escape.

Benjamin paid no attention to Daniel’s skittish body language. He only had one question. “You were watching Nina the whole time yesterday?”

“Yeah,” Daniel nodded, “Of course I was. Why? What’s wrong?”

Daniel took looking after Nina very seriously. Even when she was playing with Lester, he had been shadowing them discreetly, terrified something might happen.

After answering, Daniel glanced at Benjamin’s grim face his guilt mounting. “Did… did you and Lester have another chat?” he ventured nervously.

When Daniel brought up Lester, normally Benjamin would’ve caught onto something. But right now, he

couldn’t care less.

His eyes locked onto Daniel’s guilty face. “Nina played with a kid named Blue yesterday. Right?”

“She did, but the kid’s not named Blue. That’s just what Nina calls him,” Daniel started to explain, but Benjamin cut him off.

“This morning, while I was changing her, Nina said Blues uncle touched her.”

The color drained from Daniel’s face. “That’s impossible I was watching them the whole time! How could that guy have touched Nina? When Nina and Blue went to the bathroom, Blue went with his uncle. Nina went by herself. I was the one who helped pull her pants up when she came out!”

Daniel racked his brain, but he couldn’t recall any moment when Jeff could have gotten close enough.

He kept insisting it was impossible until he went to the dining room and asked Nina himself.

Nina looked down at her pants and patted them. Daniel’s face went from pale to ashen. He thought he’d messed up, given Jeff an opening.

“Benjamin, this is my fault,” Daniel said, his voice hard, accepting the blame before turning to leave. He was going to find Jeff.

Benjamin’s face was like ice. He didn’t stop Daniel from going. He intended to deal with Jeff himself.

Meanwhile, Jeff, who had no idea what was coming, didn’t hesitate at all when he heard Blue was invited to Nina’s place. He was eager to bring Blue over.

His interest in Nina was anything but innocent. He had no attraction to adults, men or women. His sick preferences lay with young children.

Blue had originally been his target, but after seeing Nina yesterday, he was utterly captivated. He’d never seen such a beautiful child.

Daniel had just left, and Benjamin was still home when Jeff showed up with Blue.

Nina’s eyes went wide when she saw Jeff following Blue inside.
