Chapter 288 Her Good Behavior
Michael chose to de-escalate on the spot and dropped the matter with Nina.
Nina, who was no longer being pursued, tilted her little head but didn’t
say thank you.
Finished
She couldn’t hold back her curiosity any longer and blurted out her question to Michael, “You die?”
Michael was shocked.
Emily was furious. “How can you say such a thing? That’s so rude!” she scolded Nina.
Nina, now getting scolded, scowled, her chubby face frowned, unsure what she had done
wrong.
Sally quickly pulled Nina into her embrace. “Nina is too young. Please don’t take it to heart.”
Michael was still quite sensitive to the word “die” right now.
His father, Gabriel Bennett, had just passed away unexpectedly.
Pressing his lips together, he stared at Nina’s face for a couple of seconds before finally letting the matter go.
“Forget it,” he conceded. “Let’s just leave it at that. Emily, I’ll be busy these next few days. Take good care of Noah. If anything comes up, message me first.”
Emily bit her lower lip. “Fine.”
There seemed to be something brewing between Emily and Michael.
Nina watched them, her little mouth about to start again.
Luckily, Sally was quick this time and covered her mouth in advance.
With the conflict between the two children resolved, Sally took Nina back to the group to continue viewing the exhibition.
The children spent the entire morning out.
It wasn’t until close to lunchtime that the bus brought them back for lunch and nap time.
Nina had run around all morning. When Sally tried to coax her to nap, she wouldn’t sleep.
But once Sally stopped trying, she tossed and turned on her little cot and eventually dozed off

on her own.
Nina slept on her stomach.
Sally took a picture of Nina sleeping and posted it in the group chat as an update.
After that, she put her phone away and kept watch over the napping children.
Finished
Several teachers had to supervise during nap time, as some children could choke or have other accidents while asleep.
For safety, teachers always stayed nearby.
After a full day at daycare, Nina, holding the sandwich she had made herself during the afternoon cooking class, waited happily at the entrance for Benjamin and Amelia.
Of course, William and Daniel came, too.
Seeing Daniel, Nina suddenly remembered she hadn’t made any money for him.
She looked at Daniel, thought for a moment, and handed him the sandwich she had made. “Un-coo Dan’el, eat!”
The sandwich Nina made was… well, quite a mess. Daniel looked at the sandwich, then at Nina.
Touched, he declined. “Nina, I don’t really like this kind of food. Your dad does. Give it to him.”
He encouraged Nina to give the sandwich to Benjamin.
Seeing that he wouldn’t eat it, Nina actually went to offer it to Benjamin. “Daddy, eat! Nina make.”
Benjamin didn’t want to eat it either.
Nina offered her sandwich all around. No one would eat it. In the end, only William accepted it.
Nina was furious.
She buried herself in William’s arms, angrily ignoring Benjamin, Amelia, and Daniel.
William held her, smiling as they headed home, “Alright, don’t be mad, Nina. I will take you shopping. We’ll buy things for our trip. Do you want a little backpack?”
Nina was excited. “Buy. Grandpa, buy little piggy?”
“Nina, you want a little piggy?” William asked.
