William lost his balance and tumbled over the edge. Nina saw blood-bright, terrifying red-gushing from his body.
The sight jolted her awake with a scream.
When her eyes snapped open, it was Benjamin holding her.
Benjamin had arrived. He was cradling her tight.
He rocked the sobbing little girl and asked straight out, Nina, what did you dream about?”
Benjamin was too sharp. He had already begun to suspect that some of Nina’s dreams were far from ordinary.
“Grandpa… push down!”
Nina wailed, words messy and broken.
Amelia translated beside them, voice trembling.
“Grandpa bleeding!
“Bad Frank push Grandpa!
“Grandpa fall!
“Grandpa fall down!”
Short, frantic bursts-but Amelia pieced it together instantly.
“Benjamin… she said Frank pushed William off the cliff, and he was covered in blood.”
Benjamin’s face turned really dark.
He first called William. No answer.
Then he called Martin.
Martin picked up immediately.
“Is my father with you?” Benjamin asked, voice low.
Martin replied, “No. Frank said he needed to talk to Mr. Graham alone. He didn’t want us listening, so they walked off together.”
“Where are they now?”
“Right ahead-there’s a spot called Sky’s Edge.”
Benjamin’s order was ice-cold. “Go now. Find my dad. Tell him not to get close to Frank-no matter what Frank does.”

Martin didn’t hesitate for a second.
Benjamin’s word was law to him, too.
Martin rushed forward and soon spotted William.

By then, Frank was already sitting at the cliff’s edge, tears streaming down his face as he complained that ever since Nina appeared, William didn’t care about him anymore and didn’t love him anymore.
Martin heard him speak just in time.
Cold and stoic as he usually was, he still couldn’t stop himself from mentally scoffing.
Nina is his biological granddaughter. How is a grandfather supposed to ignore his own grandchild to prioritize an outsider?
To Martin, both Ryan and Frank had always been a little too spoiled and ungrateful.
Ryan was not truly a member of the Graham family; after all, he had been taken in through adoption.
All these years, William had already given them more than enough.
William said gently, “Frank, come here first. I’ll always care about you.
“Nina’s still little and hasn’t been feeling well these past few days. Of course, I have to check on her more.”
The cliff was dangerous. William softened his voice, trying to coax the boy away from the edge.
But Frank only cried harder and refused to move.
He said, “Grandpa William, I’m not coming over. You come sit with me.”
William stayed calm. “All right. Just sit still and don’t move.”
He started walking toward the boy, planning to drag him back by force if he had to.
He was almost there when Martin lunged forward and yanked him back.
The entire time, Benjamin’s video call had stayed connected.
When he heard Frank tell William to come closer, his handsome face turned to pure ice.
Everything Nina had cried about was falling into place.
William was pushed, falling, and it was all about to happen.
Amelia saw the cliff through the screen too-her face went white as paper.
“Mr. Graham-phone!” Martin thrust it at him.
William took it and saw his son glaring.
The first words out of Benjamin’s mouth were, “Get away from Frank. Now.”
William frowned. “Frank’s sitting right on the edge. He’s upset. I need to pull him back, or he’ll fall.”
