Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 143

Chapter 143 The Weight of Fate

Nina ran crying into William’s arms.

William picked her up, gently wiping the tears from her little face, his heart full of concern.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry. I’ll take you out to play, okay? Where do you want to go, Nina?” he asked while getting his backpack ready.

He really was going to take Nina out.

Amelia saw this and didn’t stop him.

Soon, with the backpack packed, William carried Nina qutside.

Nina cried all the way to the car, only pausing to rub her eyes once inside.

“Grandpa, let’s go!”

William said, “That’s right. I’ll take you out to play. How about we go to the forest ranch today? There are lots of little animals-we can go see them.”

Nina nodded. “Okay!”

Any time she could go out and play, Nina was happy.

Her chubby little body slouched in the car seat, and soon she’d kicked off her shoes.

She’d wanted to take off her little socks too, but William stopped her.

After that, she didn’t insist on taking off her socks.

She stood on the seat, her little hands exploring the car interior.

William watched her with delight, marveling at how cut Nina was.

Meanwhile, at home, Benjamin was eating with Amelia,

Having just seen Benjamin’s rare, vulnerable side, Amelia now found him somewhat endearing.

Not the constant, natural cuteness of Nina.

Benjamin’s kind of cuteness was subtle, hard to describe and easy to miss.

Amelia had only just noticed it.

“Benjamin, next time she refuses to eat, just don’t feed her,” Amelia advised.

“And don’t give her snacks outside of meals. That way, the next mealtime, she’ll know to eat properly.”

Amelia shared her experience as she ate.

Benjamin furrowed his brows slightly. “Won’t she get to hungry?”

Amelia shook her head with a gentle smile. “Of course tot. She’s got plenty of chubby little reserves- missing one meal won’t hurt her.”

Chapter 143 The Weight of Fate

Though Amelia said this, Benjamin remained silent.

He still felt Nina was too young to be seriously hungry.

Sharing the same thought was William in the car.

William hadn’t eaten breakfast at home-he’d eaten on the way.

While eating a croissant, he tore off a piece and placed into Nina’s chubby little hand.

“Nina, eat it,” he said.

She gripped it obediently, but didn’t put it in her mouth

Her attention wasn’t on eating.

After nearly an hour on the road, they finally arrived at the forest ranch.

The ranch’s east zone was for children’s play, and the west zone was for adults to relax.

Not many people came here for play or relaxation.

Because it was a members-only place.

A standard annual membership started at half a million dollars.

William didn’t pay a cent.

The ranch was run by Benjamin’s friend, Jack.

Previously, William had only visited the west zone.

This time, he wanted to take Nina to the east zone to play.

As soon as they entered, Nina was captivated by the life-sized dinosaur models.

“Wow, a big dino!” she yelled.

Nina recognized dinosaurs!

Amelia had read dinosaur picture books to her, and she even had a dinosaur coloring book.

“Grandpa, Nina want sit!” she said.

Nina pointed eagerly at the massive dinosaur, ready to climb onto it.

William gently said, “You can’t sit on that!”

It was meant for viewing, not climbing.

“Nina, come on, let’s go ahead. There’s a slide, climbing areas, and little animals to see.

“When we get tired, we can visit the indoor science centr.”

William had planned everything; he intended to spend he whole day with Nina.
