Nina didn’t mind strangers that much. She simply didn want anyone else to carry her away, but she had never been the kind of child who burst into tears at the sight of a new face.

Just as William was still lost in his thoughts, a clear voice pulled him back.

“Grandpa William, when Nina comes back, can I give this to her? It’s the car model I built. I even won an award with it. I want Nina to have it.”

It was Frank Graham, Ryan’s grandson.

Because he had lived abroad for so long, his foreign language skills were excellent.

Of course, he could speak English, too.

Before Nina returned to the Graham family, Frank had often been sent over to keep William company.

William treated him well. Even though Frank wasn’t a blood Graham, William had set up an education fund for him.

Their relationship had always been quite harmonious.

Seeing that Frank wanted to give his award-winning model to Nina, William smiled, touched his head, and praised him, “Good boy. You really do act like an older brother.

“But something this precious… It’s better if you keep it for yourself.

“Nina loves taking things apart. If you give her the model, she’ll pull it apart in no time.”

“It’s okay. I can build it again,” Frank said.

Frank’s gentle, sensible nature made William like him even more.

William had originally planned to ask Ryan to move elsewhere for a while, but now that Frank was clinging to him and talking nonstop, he didn’t get the chance to say anything.

Time slipped by.

In the car, Nina finally stopped crying after Amelia coaxed her with some snacks.

She wasn’t crying anymore, but her eyelids were still pink, and her eyelashes were damp and clumped together.

She held a single French fry with her chunky fingers and slowly put it into her mouth.

Seeing Nina eating, Amelia leaned closer to Benjamin.

“Benjamin.” Amelia lowered her voice, not wanting Nina to hear.

To make sure only Benjamin heard her, she had to lean lose enough that her forehead nearly brushed his

shoulder.

She whispered, “Is Ryan going to stay with the Graham mily?”

Benjamin nodded.

Chapter 118 Unwelcome Guests

In the past, whenever Ryan brought Frank over, they would stay directly at the Graham Residence.

The moment Amelia heard they were staying again, she bit her lip and asked, “How long will they be here?”

Benjamin replied, “In the past, it was half a month. Sometimes even a full month.”

Amelia felt utterly helpless.

Nina disliked Ryan so much. If they had to live together for half a month or even a month, she’d probably cry every day.

Although Amelia would occasionally scold Nina for misbehaving, she was still deeply softhearted toward the daughter she had carried and given birth to.

She couldn’t bear the thought of Nina facing someone she disliked every day.

She said, “Benjamin, when we get back, if Nina sees Ryan and starts crying again, I’ll take her somewhere else to stay for a while.

“She’s so hard to calm down when she cries.”

The moment Amelia mentioned taking Nina away to live elsewhere, Benjamin’s eyes darkened.

He looked at Amelia’s small face that was nearly pressed against his and answered in a low voice, “You don’t need to worry.

“I’ll take care of it.”

Before Amelia could ask how he’d fix it, their car pulled up to the Graham Residence.

Once the car stopped, Nina’s chubby little body wobbled with the motion.

She didn’t get upset from being jostled.

She lifted the little box that the fries came in and showed it to her mother.

“Mommy, nothing!”

Knowing how much she loved snacks, Amelia had only ut a few fries inside the box to begin with.

Amelia said, “Wow, our Nina finished them all. Mommy will buy more next time.”

Hearing that, Nina nodded hard and echoed, “Mommy uy.”

While Amelia chatted with Nina, Benjamin lifted Nina t of the car.

Even after being carried out, Nina still refused to let go of the empty box.

She clenched her little hand into a fist, stuffed it into the round box, then held it up for Benjamin to see.

“Daddy, stuck.”

She announced that her hand was stuck, but right after Benjamin freed her tiny fingers, she shoved her hand back in again.
